The Church of the Lady Ruzhentsova in the village of Peski, Grodno region has been under construction for 15 years. In 1915, construction work was completed, and the temple began to receive parishioners. The walls of the church are made of multi-colored natural stone. During the Second World War, the church was heavily fired upon: the N***s were hiding here, and our soldiers had to shoot directly at the building. So the temple lost one peak. In 1945 the church was closed and then used as a warehouse for a long time. Only by the end of the 1980s, the church was returned to the church and restoration work was carried out until 1997.

This legend is confirmed by archaeologists who found pagan sacrificial stones here in the 19th century.

The Church of St. Barbara was rebuilt in 1884 according to the project of the city architect Viktor Yunoshi-Piotrovsky. Previously, this place was occupied by a smaller stone church, which had existed since the end of the 18th century.
The church, made of red unplastered bricks, was located in a Catholic cemetery. After the revolution, the temple was closed. During the war years, he received minor damage. The nearby cemetery was destroyed in the post-war period.
In 1988, the restoration of the shrine was carried out. Some of the surviving tombstones of the old cemetery were embedded in the foundation of the church during restoration work. The chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross has been renewed near the temple.
