If you’re looking for some adventure on your cruise stop in Belize, you should try the cave tubing and zip line combo excursion. Be amazed and be thrilled when these 2 activities are combined in one outing. You’ll meet your guides outside your Belize cruise tender terminal and be driven in air-conditioned comfort about 60-minutes to Nohoch Che’en Archeological Site. You will pass some of Belize Ci
ty highlights for some scenic sightseeing along the way. The drive west takes you through lush green rain forests and swampy lowlands to your memorable zip line and cave tubing experience. NOTE: There is an option when ordering to add someone in your group that just wants to do the cave tubing portion and wait for you to finish the zipline. On arrival at the park, you’ll be directed to the changing and washroom facilities. When ready you’ll make your way down the zip line boulevard to cross on one of the highest Ariel Trek lines in Belize. The longest run is over 1,300 feet and crosses over the Cave Branch River which winds through the limestone foothills and caves. The highest point of the line is over 200 feet off the ground. Feel the adrenaline rush! You'll receive all the necessary equipment for your safe and thrilling flight. You’ll get a birds-eye view of the jungle and tree-tops on this ride. There are double lines for added safety. One guide will clip you in while another waits at the next platform as gravity zips you over the treetops! After your zipline adventure, it’s time to relax and enjoy the magic of the caves. A short 25-minute hike will bring you to the entrance to the caves and the cool refreshing Cave Branch River. You’ll float on individual tubes along the river and through porous limestone caves. The river does the work. You enjoy the scenery and majesty of the sacred Mayan underworld. Your journey takes you through the world the Mayans called Xibalba (place of fear), where they thought was ruled by the Mayan death gods and their helpers. But rather than it being a scary place, they held the caves in the highest regard. The tubing guide will assist you through any shallow portions. Enjoy the beauty inside the caves - there are 2 wet and 1 dry that you pass through. Now that you've worked up an appetite you’ll enjoy a delicious Belizean lunch of rice and beans, stewed chicken, a salad and drinking water (vegetarian option available with prior notice when booking). Lunch will be sit down or to go, depending on time. When lunchtime is over, your driver will return you to your Belize cruise tender terminal.
