Guests have complete privacy in the cabana which is self contained and away from our main building. As well as the verandah, there is also a lawn space immediately outside that guests are welcome to use. including hammocks, and chairs. Interaction with Guests
When you arrive, we will meet with you and introduce you to the Cabana and our property. We'll let you have some prepared information as well as update you on any "breaking news" that may be relevant to your stay. We have our house on site so normally we are easy to get hold of for information or assistance where necessary. The Neighborhood
We are located at Sittee Point, which is just South of Hopkins Village. We are positioned roughly in the middle of the sandy bay that houses an an area in Sittee Point known as Phase 2, and us known as Phase 4. You are free to walk the full length of the beach in any direction and enjoy the beautiful Caribbean Sea. At the back of our property there are mangroves along a canal that leads to the sea in one direction, and Sittee River and the Marina, The Curve Bar & Restaurant in the other direction. The canal is not navigable currently due to the very healthy abundance of mangroves. We are about a mile and a half from the resort area of Hopkins with it's bars and restaurants and gym, and about 3 miles from Hopkins Village with shopping and an ATM. You can start your fishing trip from the Marina or you can meet your dive boat there if that's what you have arranged, otherwise you can start your diving from the resorts on the beach side. There are dive operators and Stand Up Paddling in the resort. Getting Around
There is private parking on the property for our guests. There is no public transport in the immediate area so if you want to be able to just get up and go whenever you want, you should consider car rental. We prefer to ride bicycles to the village rather than take our car. If this sounds appealing to you, we can help you arrange bicycle rental when you arrive
Other Things to Note
There is no public transport in the immediate area so if you want to be able to just get up and go whenever you want, you should consider car rental. If you want a more quiet stay, then you can book any tours you need and be picked up or walk to the Marina to join one of their tours etc. If you do rent a car, you should note that Belize is a developing country and once you leave the main highways the roads can be severely potholed at some times Of the year. It's never stopped us driving, but we just have to remember that some roads can really slow journey times down if they are in bad repair.
