Acornhoek Mall celebrated its 5th Birthday with loyal retailers and shoppers this past October. Acornhoek Mall was developed in 2018 as part of New Africa Development’s ongoing strategy to cater to a growing demand for improved retail experiences in underdeveloped areas with underlying solid economies.

The mall opened with anchors Shoprite, Spar and Game, however, shopper demand caused the addition of Boxer and Roots to the mall’s tenant mix within the first year of trading, to provide for shopper needs.

Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility is unwavering, and we want to share some of the impactful initiatives we've been a part of. Acornhoek Mall, located in Acornhoek Mpumalanga, recently hosted another Pensioners Day campaign in partnership with Roots Butchery. The mall served over 1,000 elderly pensioners with refreshments and snacks as they collected their monthly SASSA grants.

A first for M**s Mall, an Auto Show in honour of the Dads of Mamelodi. The dads certainly enjoyed this, but not only the dads. With smiling and friendly faces everywhere, it is safe to say this was a success.

Dwarsloop Mall celebrated the 16th of June this past weekend by means of a Talent Show combined with a PS4 FIFA Tournament. This initiative has grown to the point where it has become an annual highlight.

In honour and celebration of Youth Day, Acornhoek Mall hosted a Career Expo that stretched over 2 days, inviting kids from local schools to receive career guidance. Acornhoek Mall also participated by means of hosting a STP Tour, Back of House Tour, Centre Management Tour, and even a Security Tour, just to name a few.

At Acornhoek Mall, the Big Screen TV is utilised to broadcast the live soccer. The soccer matches are communicated on the mall’s social media pages, where the fans and followers are invited to watch the matches at the mall. This initiative has grown to the extent that the Food Court is now packed during these soccer matches.

Dwarsloop Mall recently hosted the SABC Munghana Lonene FM’s Birthday Bash. This day was filled with various celebrity appearances, massive cakes and lots of attendees from the mall’s vicinity. Dwarsloop Mall is so much more than just the local shopping mall.

In providing support to the tenants at Acornhoek Mall, a small blue Tuk-Tuk has been connecting the mall to the people, spreading the marketing and advertising messaging of the various tenants. This little Tuk-Tuk goes from door to door, with branded items and tenant promotions & specials.

The Lenyalo Expo kicked off on Monday and will run for 5 days at Acornhoek Mall. It’s Acornhoek Mall’s very first and very successful Wedding Expo, catering to both traditional weddings to white weddings. By the looks of it, this might just become an annual event.

Dwarsloop Mall held the Hlasela Mafutha Campaign this weekend. In local language, this translates to “Attack the Fats”. Gym instructors joined in and lead the group of people to a cardio session. Dwarsloop Mall’s sport retailers also participated to ensure this event’s successfulness.

Acornhoek Mall’s Tuk-Tuk Roadshows is on a roll. Recently the blue Tuk-Tuk visited the local village of Mahansh while distributing Romans Pizza and Milady’s pamphlets. This initiative ensures that the areas surrounding the mall is well informed.

M**s Mall recently hosted its very first Sip and Paint, during the month ofFebruary. One of the vacant shops has been utilised, and served as the venue for this campaign. All attendees enjoyed this event, and are asking when the next one is taking place. M**s Mall takes pride in its versatility.

Dwarsloop Mall runs a monthly CSI campaign namely Pensioner's Day. On SASSA payout days, pensioners receive a free cup of tea or coffee while they queue for their pension.
Dwarsloop Mall goes the extra mile and offers the elderly some free fruits and biscuits as well.
