The Woodlands and Waterways Visitors Centre front door lock has been fixed. The Centre is now open.

Good morning,

The Woodlands & Waterways Regional Visitor Centre will be closed today due to a broken front door lock, and we look forward to reopening as soon as repairs have been completed. WWRVC emails and social media will carry on as normal in the meantime, so please feel free to email [email protected] for any inquiries.

Hello, everyone,

Please be aware that the Woodlands & Waterways Visitor Centre is now closed for the 2024 holiday season, and will resume operations in January of 2025.

Thank you to everyone who has visited the Centre in 2024! We have greatly appreciated the support of the Tri-Communities and their residents over this past year, and we look forward to working together with everyone on a successful year to come.

We're looking forward to welcoming athletes and families to the Tri-Community Area who will be coming up for this weekend's Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association (SHSAA) 4A Girls' Volleyball Provincial Championships, which will be running November 15 & 16 at Churchill Community High School in La Ronge. (Please visit the CCHS page for more information, including the full playoff match schedule and team rosters.) Good luck to all participants, and welcome to all visitors!

Ahead of the SHSAA provincials, we're also excited to invite all area visitors and all Tri-Community residents to visit the Woodlands & Waterways Regional Visitor Centre and our newly-opened Archives Room!

Graham Guest, Archival Historian of the Pahkisimon Nuye?áh Library System Northern Saskatchewan Archives, has generously provided two displays of archival photography as our starting exhibition for the WWRVC Archives Room. One display contrasts past and present photographs of notable locations in the Town of La Ronge, and the other display features historical photographs of Tri-Community Area families practicing traditional northern cultural skills and living the traditional lifestyle.

We look forward to rotating these Northern Saskatchewan Archives displays on an ongoing basis, and will update you on new exhibits as they arrive. We hope that you enjoy learning about local history and culture by visiting the WWRVC Archives Room!

Starting tomorrow, August 10, and running through to the end of the 2024 Tony Cote Summer Games on August 16, the Woodlands & Waterways Regional Visitor Centre will be open each day from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (closed over lunch).

We look forward to welcoming everyone!
