Fall is the perfect season for an adventure… let’s go!!!

Discover one of Nova Scotia's hidden gems: stand-up paddling—or if you prefer, sit-down paddling—through the untouched wilderness of Great Barren & Quinan Lakes, capped off with a night under the stars in North America's first UNESCO Starlight Preserve (Acadian Skies & Mi'kmaq Lands).

As you paddle leisurely, you'll have the chance to explore ancient Acadian forests, encounter massive glacial erratics, and gather berries for our evening feast. Enjoy a night filled with delicious food, friendly faces, a tranquil paddle, and a peaceful sleep beneath the celestial canopy.

'Rise & Shine' on the first day of Fall to the smell of fresh coffee and breakfast sizzling on the campfire, followed by a morning of SUP fishing, a leisurely paddle, swim, nature walk, foraging or extra sleep.

After a morning around the campsite, we'll set out for a day filled with adventure!

There will be ample opportunity to unwind, rejuvenate, and reconnect with the natural world!

This fully-equipped, catered, and guided experience includes all SUP and camping gear, three meals plus snacks and beverages—we've got everything covered. Just bring your toothbrush and your adventurous spirit!

Our experiences are open for group bookings on your preferred date. We'll collaborate with you to tailor the perfect adventure, considering the desires, needs, and abilities of your group. Private bookings are available for groups ranging from 1 to 6 participants.

Experience a Stand Up Paddleboard Camping Adventure in the remote Tobeatic Wilderness.

Reconnect, Recharge & Retreat to the wild during this 3 day, 2 night Stand Up Paddle, Portage & Wilderness Experience.

Available Dates:
July 12th-14th

What to expect…

Day 1: 10am - Meeting at the Indian Fields Airstrip on Highway 203. Gear check and then shuttle to the launch site. Once at the launch site, we will enjoy lunch and do a gear check before heading off to spend a day paddling & portaging in the Tobeatic Wilderness, (3 Lakes / 2 x 300m Carry)
After arriving at one of our favourite campsite, your guide will prepare the fire and a much need meal while you set camp, go for a swim and have a rest before a relaxing paddle under the night sky.

Day 2: Rise & Shine to the smell of fresh coffee and enjoy a morning paddle or relax by the campfire, while breakfast is prepare on the campfire. The rest of the day will be spent paddling, hiking, swimming, exploring, foraging, relaxing, recharging, reconnecting, good food, great company & a sunset paddle.

Day 3: SUP, swim & breakfast, before packing up and beginning the journey out, stopping for lunch on the way.

This trip is fully outfitted, guided & catered.

What’s included: 7 meals, snacks, hot beverages, 2 x Breakfast, 3 x Lunch, 2 x Supper + Dessert, Snacks, Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Apple Cider
Equipment Provided: Stand Up Paddleboard, Paddle, Leash, PFD Drybag Backpack Sleeping Bag Sleeping Mat Dishes, Cutlery & Mug Water Filter First Aid Kit, Knife, Headlamp What you need to bring, personal items, change of clothes, extra snacks and your sense of adventure.

This adventure is suitable for those can carry overnight pack & SUP equipment (+/- 30lbs) through portages (+/- 350 m), and are somewhat comfortable in a wilderness setting and on the water.

This is an introduction to Stand Up Paddling for youth aged 10-14 years old. Focusing on the basic SUP skills, paddle stokes and water safety.

The Perseids Meteor shower will peak the night of the 12th and best viewing will be pre-Dawn on the 13th The moon will set at midnight, providing dark skies through the early morning hours until dawn.

Great Barren & Quinan Lakes SUP Camping Experience | June 14th-15th.

This adventure starts with an easy paddle to one of our favourite backcountry campsites. Once at our campsite, we will set up our camp for the evening and take some time to fish, swim, explore or simply relax.

After some good eats, we will heading out for a sunset paddle before enjoing a restful evening underneath the stars.

In the morning, 'rise & shine' for a sunrise paddle or sleep in, either way there will be fresh coffee/tea and a yummy breakfast when you wake-up. Then we will pack up the campsite before heading out for an inspiring day on the water, stopping at the Great Barren & Quinan Lakes Nature Reserve for lunch and a swim.

After our day filled with adventure, we will return to the campsite to load up the gear and begin the journey home.

Situated in the upper reaches of the Tusket River Watershed, and part of the Roseway River Glacial Plains, Great Barren & Quinan Lakes offers a of diverse landscape of giant glacial erratics, islands of old growth mixed Acadian forests, coastal plain flora.

This adventure is fully outfitted, guided and catered. We provide everything you need for a safe and enjoyable adventure. 3 meals, snack and beverages are provided, and we will accommodate dietary needs.

Like all of our adventures, this adventure is available for group bookings at a date of your choice. Available for 2-6 participants.
