Here's why a few of our guests were thrilled to return to this beloved corner of the Canadian Rockies.
Max Darrah from Rockaboo Mountain Adventures has always loved the Canadian Rockies. But it was more than the stunning scenery that convinced him to lay down roots in Jasper.
“It's the people, it's the businesses, it's the community of Jasper that really keeps me here.”

As founder and owner of Jasper Food Tours, Estelle Blanchette’s livelihood was put on pause following this summer’s wildfire. But as guests return, she's thrilled to spotlight her home in the mountains once more.
“Sharing my love for Jasper is something I’ve always loved,” says Blanchette. “And I’m so excited to do it again.”

A few short hours after evacuating Jasper, Will Baart was called back to help feed wildfire first responders. And even after leaving a second time when the fire reached town, he didn't stay away for long.
Baart, store manager at local grocer TGP Jasper, was eager to return and prepare the store for his neighbours’ homecoming. He even received civilian placard number two on re-entry. “My employees and my community — that's what kept me going,” he says.

This summer’s Jasper wildfire forever changed the mountain town we love. But once the flames were contained, the spirit remained.
The “Heart of Jasper” series spotlights the people who make Jasper what it is. Hear from Mike Day, owner of Evil Dave’s Grill, as he reflects on his return and shares his hopes for Jasper’s next chapter. 💙
