We believe in sustainable transportation and support pedestrian-only zones in Banff. We provide more than 500 free parking spaces at the Banff Train Station, significantly reducing traffic congestion in the townsite and improving the resident and visitor experience.
We encourage everyone to park at the Train Station and enjoy Banff by foot, bike, or via public transit.

Exciting News: the mayors of Calgary, Cochrane, Canmore and Banff have sent a letter of support to Premier Jason Kenney and the Government of Alberta for the proposed passenger train linking the Calgary International Airport and the Town of Banff with stops along the way.
The letter says: “Calgary-Banff Passenger Rail Line reflects a transformative project that will take thousands of vehicles off of the already over-subscribed TransCanada Highway, and all roads within the Bow Valley communities. This would improve the overall experience and safety for people visiting Canada’s first national park, and improve labour mobility by connecting workers with jobs throughout the Bow Valley.”
Along with voicing their support, each municipality is committing to exploring how they would integrate this project into their communities, all with the goal of reducing the reliance on personal vehicles.

Breaking news! The Calgary Airport - Banff Passenger Rail Project is now entering the design phase. We are excited to have Plenary Americas come aboard!
By reducing the number of cars on the road, the proposed passenger train linking YYC and Banff will dramatically decrease greenhouse gas emissions, minimize the environmental impact of people visiting our parks, and promote the Canadian tourism sector in a sustainable way.
