One of our masonry crews working hard on repairing a deteriorating brick wall on the store front in downtown Barrie. Walk under scaffolding systems set up to reach the full height of the area on the front of the building that needs repair. This system includes safety netting to catch any loose debris that may fall during the restoration work.

One of our masonry crews repairing two concrete retaining walls for the County of Simcoe. The top section of deteriorated concrete has been removed and new epoxy coated steel rebars are being installed. Stay tuned for additional photos and perhaps a video of our guys at work.

It's what we do!

Here are some before, during and after photos of a recent masonry job we did. We rebuilt the deteriorated chimney, took down the old brick retaining wall that was covered in wood and rebuilt it, topping it with a concrete cap. We also removed the Terracotta steps and replaced with Flagstone.

Replacing Spalled Bricks

Spalling refers to the crumbling of concrete and bricks which are too soft or absorbent, and as a result, retain too much water or moisture, deteriorating their surface. Spalling most often takes place in small areas of walls. The most common way of fixing this problem is by replacing the particular bricks which have been affected.

Here is a video of showing how spalled bricks are removed.

Complete Chimney Rebuild in order to meet Building Code and W.E.T.T. Specifications. This was a huge job which required more than 2,500 bricks more 300 8" blocks and over 150 4" blocks.

Some concrete repair work being done at the entrance of a bay service station. A walk behind concrete saw and a jackhammer were used to remove deteriorated concrete. New forms were built and concrete poured, leveled and finished off with a brushed finish.
