Día de Mu***os, or Day of the Dead, is one of Mexico's most iconic celebrations. This unique holiday, observed on November 1st and 2nd, is a time to honor deceased loved ones, celebrate their lives, and welcome their spirits back to the world of the living.

During Día de Mu***os, the streets come alive with color, music, and intricate decorations. Plazas and public spaces are adorned with beautiful altars, or ofrendas, filled with photos, marigold flowers, candles, and offerings like food and drinks for the deceased. One of the most striking elements of the celebration is the ubiquitous presence of skulls, or calaveras, often in the form of sugar skulls or as the iconic face paintings that visitors and local’s alike wear.
