We often get asked where we're from, where our business is located, well it's about time we open this whole thing up with a huge spotlight on Blind River, Ontario.
Blind River is directly on the North Channel of Lake Huron. Home of world-class yachting and sailing, with incredible views and amazing private islands littered throughout our waters. Some of the world's best anchorages aswell!
A small town of roughly 3600 friendly people, it's a dream location year-round for people wanting to spend time in the great outdoors. In the summer there's unreal fishing, kayaking, swimming with some amazing beaches, hiking trails everywhere and wonderful campgrounds and airbnbs. Come winter, the snowmobile trails will bring you just about anywhere, ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and so much more.
Some highlights to boast about, such as our marina, has been nicely renovated and is often complimented by visiting boaters. New docks, friendly staff with a fuel dock, make sure you say hello to the Harbormaster Darrell.
Our golf course is rated as one of the very best Northern Ontario has to offer, a full 18 hole championship course with cart service and a wonderful menu at the country club restaurant. A perfect destination for a surprisingly quiet and amazing round of golf.
For restaurants we're rather spoiled for a smaller town. Head to 17 Restaurant for amazing breakfast, The Pier to check out the game over beer and wings on the patio, JR's Pizza for outstanding pizza, pastas and a huge menu, and Mustang's, a small diner off Main Street, be sure to try the Boss Burger. Rustie's is also a great place to eat, just off the highway with super pleasant staff.
Our fair town nearly doubles in size during the summer, as the tourism booms and summer campers come back to their cottages, bringing life to our lakes and rivers.
Blind River has everything you need and nothing you don't, and The Well can make a better coffee than Starbucks any day, so you won't be missing it.
If you're ever planning on coming to our neck of the woods, reach out and we'll gladly guide you through the amazing things Blind River has to offer.
Above and Beyond,
TRVL
