From a night where we drove 10 hours for clear skies, only to have absolutely no Aurora 😂

Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) farewell! It is no longer visible to the naked eye (barely). If you get your camera out, you may see it depart through our view of the Milky Way!

The airglow last night was incredible as well!

Did you catch the Comet?! Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) is grazing our night skies as it’s on its way out of the Solar System. It is incredible to see with the unaided eye.

Be sure to step outside shortly after Sunset in the next week to witness this for yourself!

Looking up at the Big Dipper as the Aurora takes over the skies! I captured this during a substorm explosion in May 2024. You may think this was the big show, but this was actually the following night! When the show was even better for us in the North.

WOAH!
Check out these insane colors surrounding the Aurora! The purple and pinks were clearly visible to the naked eye. Some of us could see green, however I cannot due to being color blind.
