Tried and True® is a collection of the “best of the best” plants selected for their superior performance, ease of growth and dependability in various gardening applications. Since its inception, Tried and True has been committed to producing exceptional plant material and introducing outstanding varieties to the market place. Home gardeners will find Tried and True plants at garden retailers and n

urseries across Western Canada and parts of the United States. We offer a diverse selection of over 150 premium varieties of annuals from the traditional to the new and unusual. Our plant specialists make annual trips overseas to meet and collaborate with leading international breeders and young plant suppliers in search of innovative varieties as well as improvements on existing ones. Through propagation, comprehensive growing trials and testing, the pending varieties are assessed on a wide range of criteria from flowering, growth habit, disease tolerance and adaptability and performance in various climatic conditions. Only a handful of plants pass our rigid testing and trial process to join the Tried and True line each year.

Have you grown Emerald Towers Basil before? If you are limited in garden space and want a lot of basil leaves, Emerald Towers is for you. It "towers" over other basil varieties, growing 24" - 36" (60-90 cm) in height, giving you a big harvest potential. Emerald Towers grows well in containers or in-ground, and it flowers much later...8 to 12 weeks??? Excellent robust flavour for pesto. This is a must for my garden!

Happy Leap Day!
Did you know that Leap Day is considered to be Sadie Hawkins Day? Historically, this is the day that ladies are supposed to propose marriage to their beloved.
