It’s been a busy week over here at Experience Metis! We took the Red River cart down to City Hall on Monday for the flag raising, joined Kodiak Herbal for a wolf willow class, are in the midst of a week long junior high school residency, and shared Metis knowledge, along with Zachary Willier with some great folks at Enbridge. Here are some pics!

Have the cart delivered to your event, with a Metis representative stay and tell the history of the cart for $200 an hour or for viewing only $150 (Minimum 2 hour booking. Additional charge for milage outside of Calgary)

We cleaned up the forest at Highfield Regenerative Farm today! Well, part of it 😅 Thanks everyone who came, I know some of you got the same satisfaction as I did pulling those looong strands of clematis off the berry bushes 😎

What a great day harvesting weeds from the forest and learning the principles of land relationships 😀 👌

One of the most abundant of these weeds may be useful in making rope and cordage - research into the potential for building materials from weedy invasives is currently underway! So glad to join Highfield Regenerative Farm and Kodiak Herbal Metis Culture for the beginning of our Metis stewardship club. Hope to you at an event soon!

Experience Metis was at Highfield Regenerative Farm yesterday participating in Inspirefest. We smoked meat, made pemmican and worked on the bear hide. It was great to hang out with like minded people and enjoyed the weather!
