Something to consider. Once I stayed at a small inn and they special blankets, more like a placemat, for protecting the bedding from dirt & grime.

Even if it doesn’t look dirty, it is.

Bookstores are a dangerous place for me anytime of year. No surprise that as I was Christmas shopping I treated myself to a few books.

UNBELIEVABLE!

Just this past week a woman climbed up EL CASTILLO pyramid at Chichenitza. This pyramid has been off limits to tourists since 2008 and there’s clear signage telling people to stay off.

But , as she’s been dubbed, decided it was OK for her to climb the pyramid and dance at the top.

Other visitors to the park were furious and yelled and booed at her actions.
She was escorted away by police and was fined 5000 pesos.

Wherever you travel ALWAYS be mindful and respectful of the culture of others.
