Claresholm & District Museum and Visitor Information Centre
Established in 1969, the Claresholm & District Museum has long been committed to preserving the history of this unique region of southern Alberta.
The museum houses thousands of artifacts and archival documents relating to the history of Claresholm & District.
Artifacts tell many stories from Blackfoot culture, to the arrival of the railway, homesteading, farming and cattle ranching and the development and use of the British Commonwealth Air Training Planâs Service Flying Training School #15.
Recent additions include the Louise McKinney Gallery in the Station Building. This Gallery pays homage to Claresholm resident Louise McKinney and the Famous Fiveâs endeavours in the fight for womenâs rights in Canada.
