Hippo Hippo hurray!!!

Hippos are the second largest land animals in the world, only eclipsed in size by the elephant and can be seen quite easily in Uganda. Most of the lakes and rivers in the country are habitats for hippos. The full name is hippopotamus and derived from Greek to mean river horse.

In the 1920s Soviet scientist Ilya Ivanov was recruited by Stalin to create "a new Invincible human being" by artificially inseminating female chimpanzees with human s***m to have at his disposal, both for military purposes and as an inexhaustible labour force.

The project ended in failure.

With the help of a voice like Jane Goodall speaking out for chimpanzees and places like the Fauna Sanctuary in Chambly, Quebec, the use and abuse of captured chimpanzees in Africa
for the use of scientific purposes in biomedical Laboratories across North America were brought to a stop.

Kibale National Park is a national park in Western Uganda, protecting moist evergreen rain forest. It is 766 square kilometres (296 sq mi) in size and is located between 1,100 metres (3,600 ft) to 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) in elevation. Despite encompassing primarily moist evergreen forest, it contains a diverse array of landscapes. Kibale is one of the last remaining expanses to contain both lowland and montane forests. In eastern Africa, it sustains the last significant expanse of pre-montane forest.
