"Your home away from home " Our Guest House is located in beautiful Southern Alberta, between Fort Macleod and Lethbridge.

Nicely hidden behind Blue Spruce trees you will surely have lots of privacy with a view to the South/South West. You can see all the way to Chief Mountain in Montana, USA. More to the West you can see Fort Macleod with in the background the windmills in front of the Rocky Mountains. Fort Macleod is a nice historic town with several restaurants, Tim Horton and good stores for all your daily nee

ds. Our vacation home is located centrally which makes it easy to make day trips to Waterton Park, Frank Slide, Writing-on-Stone Park, Birds of Prey Centre, Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump and many more "must visit" places. And, after a nice day trip, it's great to come back and relax in “Your Home away from Home”

Our Guest House has everything to make it a most relaxed vacation:
- a nice porch with space for coats, shoes etc.
- a cozy living room with dining room.
- a kitchen that has everything to prepare your breakfast, lunch or supper. Stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker and all the necessary kitchen utensils are available
- master bedroom with a comfortable queen-size box-spring bed.
- bathroom with shower cabin, vanity, toilet, washer, and dryer
- 2nd bedroom with two single XL-beds that can be put together as a king size bed.
- bathroom with toilet and vanity.
- Patio on the south side of the house with patio set and a barbeque. Included is: all linen, ironing board and iron, basics like, coffee, tea, sugar, salt, washer detergent and dishwasher soap etc. Wi-Fi and portable air conditioning are available. And… to get started, you will find the fridge well filled with bread, butter, cheese, ham, eggs, etc.! When visiting with little kids, ask for crib(s), high chair etc.! We have 2 rental properties, I have had so many requests for the last week of July - first week of August 2024! I could have rented out both places about 6 times!

Finally 👏🏻😁,
Website is back online!!!
After lots of issues with webhost, website down, emails not working, I changed it all and are creating a whole new website. I’ll add more pictures etc., but the calendar is available again, so have a look and book! 😊.

20 years ago we moved with our 3 children from the small town of Harskamp The Netherlands to the wide open prairies, Fort Macleod Canada.

And Roelofsen`s Guest House was build to provide a home for family that would come visit us.

But we love to rent it out to travellers to provide a home away from home as well 😊

We have lots of birds at our place.
From tiny house wren, American goldfinch, warblers and junco’s to the bigger ones, hawks and owls. And at night you might hear the beautiful sound of the Great Horned Owls.
And this one was staring at us when we were having supper last night 😀. Just a few feet away at the patio railing.
Maybe it will visit the guest house as well to see you! Make sure to book soon as we are expecting a busy 2023 😁!

And some new friends on the farm!
This week we hope to be able to put the sheep out in the field and those 3 ladies will hopefully protect from coyotes.
Meet Dolly the alpaca and Misty and Mabel the llamas 🦙.
See them walk by when you relax on the patio. 🌞

It's time to book your stay!
Travel restrictions will be lifted.
And we are looking forward to meet you (again).

During the past year we got a fresh paintjob done, new countertop, new vanity/mirror. It's all ready for you!!!
Remember, this is a complete house. And there are no hidden cost on top of the rental rates.

Beds are ready, towels etc. and basics like coffee, tea etc.
Washer and dryer are in the spacious bathroom.

Free Wi-Fi.
Just come and relax!!!

And we are ready for the new season!!!
A new gas fireplace to make it even more cozy during chilly evenings.
And it all got repainted.
And we added an air fryer!

Another year has flown by.
A year with only a few booking requests.
However, we were able to rent it out to some workers and were full for almost a year.
But hopefully in 2022 traveling will become easier again.
We would love to welcome many in our freshly painted house!
