MACC Members went on a field trip to OPEN SKY ADVENTURES INC in Drummond, NB on Friday, August 11, 2017! We had a blast ziplining and rock climbing!

Good day all FB fans, Open Sky Adventures had to restructure the buisiness ! This by closing the pontoon tours in the gorge and Kayak+ canoe rentals cause of low ressourses and also lack of local +provincial leadership !!! That said by high demands will be able to keep the zip lines +deepelling buisiness open for another season with Mathieu Akerley as management . He will open the gorge view tower for zip lining ,starting every weekend in May from 10 am till 6 pm and June everyday also from 10 am till 6 pm. Hope to have all your support again this season again . Thank you and have a wonderful summer !! PLEASE SHARE FOR US !!

Bonjour mes amie(e)s FB .Cette annee nous avons du restructurer Open Sky Adventures en fermant les tours de ponton dans les gorges et location the canoe/kayak. Car nous somme limite en ressourses mais aussi a cause de manque d'interest et de leadership local et provincial .Ceci dit, suite a une grande demande les tyroliennes et la decalade seront ouvert a la tour Open Sky Adventures Gorge View , avec Mathieu Akerley a la gerance ,il va ouvrir pour la saison 2017 tous les fins semaine en Mai de 10 am a 6 pm et tous les jours de Juin de 10 am a 6 pm !! Rick Mercer open sky adventures experience (good reading fans)

Canadian funnyman Rick Mercer says :

“We’ll go to Open Sky Adventures, which is just outside Grand Falls,” he said.

“The guy has an incredible setup there. It’s a stunning part of the world. I’d never actually spent any time there. There’s this incredible gorge there that’s just something else. Along with the gorge, there’s this 200-foot cliff, and he does something called de-pelling off it, which is rapelling, except it’s face-first.”

If you’re a fan of the show, you’d know that Mercer isn’t wild about heights.

“This took the cake as the scariest thing I’ve done,” he said.

“I was terrified. But it’s a lot of fun. Once you figure out how to do it, and the learning curve is pretty quick. You can start having fun very quickly. In terms of an adrenaline rush, oh my God, it’s right up there. You have to walk down the side of a cliff. It’s not like a hill, it’s a cliff. You could drop an egg and it would hit the ground down below, not the wall. It’s straight down. It’s amazing.”

The company, which is owned by Raymond Paquette and which also attracts adventurers from across the globe to the area for its zip-lining, wall-climbing, canoeing and kayaking, and camping, gave him a special thrill, he said.

“It’s a top-notch outfit. It’s the cleanest place I’ve ever been in my entire life. There’s not a speck out of place. The guy runs a tight ship,” he said, laughing.
