Our ๐๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ค ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐งโ€™๐ฌ ๐–๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‘๐ž๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ took place last weekend and as the organizers behind the event, it was ๐๐„๐˜๐Ž๐๐ƒ what we couldโ€™ve imagined. Each part of the itinerary was designed to nourish our minds, bodies, and spirits and it did, just that. We gathered in a beautiful airbnb, surrounded by nature and from the moment guests arrived, there was an instant sense of sisterhood and connection.

Throughout the weekend, an ๐ˆ๐๐‚๐‘๐„๐ƒ๐ˆ๐๐‹๐„ group of women led us through transformative workshops focused on Vaginal Health, Nature & Mindfulness, Inner Child Healing, Plant Therapy, and a Sunday Morning Stretch Session.

Aside from the transformative workshops, one of the highlights of the weekend was one of the most ๐๐Ž๐–๐„๐‘๐…๐”๐‹ panel discussions weโ€™ve ever witnessed, focused on Holistic Wellness. Our panel brought together a group of 4 women who offered insights, guidance, and inspiration for a balanced and fulfilling life.

This retreat would not be possible without our ๐€๐Œ๐€๐™๐ˆ๐๐† guest host . Her presence was truly a gift to us all. Rajean was able to create a safe and nurturing space where guests could come together to heal, grow and thrive. With her gentle guidance, she encouraged guests to embrace their authenticity, celebrate their strengths, and embrace their journey towards holistic wellness. She embodies the spirit of sisterhood and solidarity, fostering connections that will extend far beyond the retreat.

A huge ๐’๐‡๐Ž๐”๐“-๐Ž๐”๐“ to for the delicious meals, exceptional service, and gracious accommodation of our guests. From vibrant bowls, to soul-warming dishes, each dish was a celebration of flavour and wellness.

We indulged in wine tasting, delicious charcuterie, cozy fireside chats, scenic vineyard views and good company. The staff at Benjamin Bridge truly outdid themselves ensuring we had the best hospitality and Meghan at Halifax Charcuterie did her thang by creating a culinary experience that perfectly complemented the rich wine flavours ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿง€๐Ÿ‡.

A true highlight of our event was bringing together guests from different communities to laugh, mingle and experience the simple joy of being together.

Back in January, we had the pleasure of spending time with the wonderful @uphouseinc team who travelled all the way from Winnipeg to the East Coast to visit us! As part of their work with @tourismhrcanada on their new Discover Tourism website, they developed a video series, sharing stories of those in the tourism industry and the potential this sector has to offer. โ€œAs a Black woman living in Nova Scotia, Renรฉ Boudreau knew firsthand how underrepresented her community was. She set out to change that. Her immense pride in her home and her culture, and her belief in the power and impact of fair representation led her to launching her own tourism business, @elevateandexploreblackns. Her mission was clear: improve representation, so more people will feel welcomed. By shining a spotlight on the Black community exploring and enjoying all the wonders of Nova Scotia, Renรฉ knew she could compel more Black travellers to visit - and keep coming back.
