Having the right tools at our disposal makes life a lot easier when trying to find problems with buried infrastructure. We recently invested in a General Pipe camera and utility locator so we can quickly diagnose problems and get them repaired in a timely manner. Also saves our clients time and money by not having to do exploratory digging through existing landscaping to find the issue. I also wish contractors would add cleanouts to footing and eves trough drains to make future issues easier to diagnose.

Qualifications:

-Knowledge of and ability to operate a variety of pieces of heavy equipment in a safe manner such as excavators, skid steers, bulldozers and roller packers
-Knowledge of septic systems, road, sewer/water main and landscape construction
-Must be a team player and able to coordinate daily tasks
-Ability to read and write to complete and maintain daily operating logs, safety logs and daily log records
-Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
-Strong verbal and listening skills
-Ability to read and follow site drawings and layout
-Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
-Chain saw and other job related licenses are an asset but not necessary
-Experience with helical pile installation also an asset

Responsibilities:

-Operator will use heavy equipment to perform a variety of tasks which may include fine grading and finishing, landscaping, sloping and banking, backfilling, ditching, excavation, rough grading, stumping, subgrade excavation, trenching, material handling, slope grooming

- Must be willing to perform some manual labour as required to complete necessary site work

This summer we we're to busy at our big project to post some of the smaller jobs we did this summer so we'll try to catch up a bit. For this one we installed 28 helical piles for our fence footings and had a local contractor construct a 230ft fence on top of them. Quick, and minimal restoration to the lawn after instal. After that we dug out the old walkway, prepped the base and installed some new steps and flagstone to clean up the entrance way. Over the years we've done many projects on this property but unfortunately there isn't much left to do.

We've been busy over in Rosseau prepping a building pad. Removed 70+ loads, (Thanks to J&F, BOR, and Weeks) drove some piles, found someone's buried treasures and got the footings dug out. Next week we'll start tying the piles together with grade beams and cover everything with stone for the next step.

The sign on the MIZPAH cemetery back limberlost blew over in the wind a few weeks ago so we decided to help stand it back up. We put in a few Almita piles and treated the sign to some new PT posts. Thanks the the modern upgrades it should be around for the next-generation to enjoy

Kind of a bitter sweet day today. Finished up the first phase of our landscape repair/ new installation for this year on 3 mile lake. We have a day or two of clean up once the veneer is done but hardscaping is Finished until spring. Its been a pleasure to deal with some amazing clients and for letting us have the freedom to try some new things. We'll post some pics in a few weeks once everything is done.

Making good progress on our 3 mile lake job in the last week. Now off to the lake side to start on more walkways and patios. Once the veneer and stone work is done on the raised patio it will look way better than what we started with

Making some progress on our 3 Mile Lake restoration. We decided not to re-use any of the existing flagstone as the quality and fit wasn't up to par. Now our clients have a more usable space and no future worries about water & frost damage 💪
Thanks to for taking care of some stumps for our clients today! You made quick & easy work of some huge stumps!

After some un expected setbacks we're Almost ready to start putting the landscaping back together on this job on 3 Mile lake. We excavated to fix some sub drainage issues and found the existing foundation was damaged, not waterproofed and porch support wall was poorly constructed by the last contractors. And yes that well was buried in the walkway.

What was a simple landscape repair job has turned into slightly more work. When we couldn't find someone to do last minute footings we decided to do them ourselves to keep going, and when you can't get cement delivered you mix a few skids to get it done. Next week we'll form and pour the walls and hopefully start putting this area back together.
