Rescue Methods

Just finished up a week of RM BGSU water craft rescue technician with the Upper Scioto Water Rescue Task Force. What a week - if anything could have hone wrong logistically it did....broken motors, broken boats, broken trees laying across the training zone, and on and on. And yet.....it was an awesome week full of outstanding learning and effort. Great team, great professionals, great effort. State Fire School. 2Tinga Inc.

Rescue Methods

Performing tension line evolutions on the ice. This is a great technique for unreliable or weak ice. Handled ascenders can be added to the tension line to assist in advancing to the victim. The craft can be easily rotated and maneuvered with basic body mechanics where you load the bow and pivot as needed. Once the victim is loaed, you can be pulled back to shore with a tend line to the boat or you can hand jack yourself and the victim back to shore. State Fire School 2Tinga Inc.
