Peacock bass can be picky creatures and it’s best to bring the proper tackle to ensure that you get the most bites! We recommend top water plugs , live shiners, jigs and crankbaits. Bringing the right tackle on your fishing vacation does make the difference.if you are missing any or want to try something new - don’t worry ! We provide our own tackle for our guests if the ever need :)

Here are a few photos of our site in the Amazon Rainforest. We currently have the ability to host 6 people at a time. We have three bedrooms with two beds per room. Maid service is done daily. We cook three delicious meals a day and alcohol and non alcoholic beverages are included with your stay. Come and enjoy a weak away from the busy city and fish some monster Peacock Bass with us !

Here are two photos of a Pink River Dolphin otherwise known as a Boto. The dolphin's stand out due to their light pink colour which you can slightly make out under the darker waters of the Amazon River. They begin their lives having a dark grey colour and then gradually turn pink over time as a result of repeated abrasions of the skin's surface and males tend to be pinker then females due to intra species aggression. INTERESTING FACT: When fishing in the Amazon , these intelligent creatures will stay next to the fishing boats, oftentimes right underneath the boat. They wait for fishermen to release their caught fish back into the water and then sn**ch them up for a quick and easy snack !

During this particular weeks fishing trip we had yet to catch a monster Peacock. Therefore, we decided to go further off the beaten path, to camp for a few days at our satellite camp. This turned out to be the right decision to make as we hauled in this massive . No better way to take a picture of a nice catch then to get in the water with the fish ! Thankfully, the stayed away!

For those who are unaware the Peacock Bass otherwise known as Tucunaré is not actually a Bass at all. This fish is part of the cichlid family. Both types of fish do however have very similar looks and behaviours- almost being distant relatives or cousins.
