An exciting reminder that as of today, there are new changes for vaccinated travellers:

✔️ Rapid Antigen Tests are now accepted for travel to Canada as an alternative to PCR tests
✔️ Return to mandatory randomized testing on arrival at Canadian airports
✔️ Unvaccinated children under the age of 12 will no longer need be required to self-isolate or follow strict public health measures
✔️ The travel advisory has been downgraded and the government will no longer recommend against non-essential travel

As of Monday, fully vaccinated travelers coming to Canada now have the option to take a rapid antigen test the day before their arrival, instead of an expensive PCR test. In addition, children under 12 years old, traveling with fully vaccinated adults, will continue to be exempt from quarantine.

Along with flexible bookings and improved safety protocols among cruise lines, the news of the Canadian border restrictions easing as of Monday is an exciting and positive update for the travel industry.

Following passage of the Alaska Tourism Restoration Act, work with Alaska government officials, and recent guidance from the U.S. CDC, our shortened Alaska summer season will include one ship, Majestic Princess, sailing 7-Day Alaska Inside Passage (with Glacier Bay National Park) voyages, roundtrip from Seattle.

Our first 2021 Alaska voyage will set sail on July 25, 2021, aboard Majestic Princess.

Prime Minister Katrin Jakobsdottir has said in a statement “The world has been through a lot in the past twelve months, and we are all hoping for a slow and safe return to normalcy...This also includes the resumption of the opportunity to travel, which is valuable to culture, trade, and enterprise.”
