I recently stayed at the Sunscape Akumal in the Mayan for a week. Although this resort would not be considered luxury, it is definitely a family friendly resort. It is situated on a beautiful stretch of beach and has 11 pools. One of the pools has its own swim up bar just for kids. There are lots of options available to get a drink or a bite to eat. There are activities happening daily and they have an amazing kids club on site to keep the little ones occupied if mom and dad want an hour to themself. Definitely worth checking it out.
