The Allahverdi Khan Bridge, popularly known as Si-o-se-pol, is the largest of the eleven historical bridges on the Zayanderud, the largest river of the Iranian Plateau, in Isfahan, Iran. The Si-o-se-pol, is not only a bridge , it is part of the rich history of beautiful city of Isfahan. ‌سی و سه پل یا پل الله وردیخان یکی از پل های تاریخی شهر اصفهان بوده که در سال ۱۵۹۹ میلادی بر روی رودخانه پرآب و خروشان زاینده رود احداث گردیده است. این پل دارای ۳۳ دهانه با طولی برابر ۲۹۵ متر و عرض ۱۴ متر می باشد و در گذشته محل اتصال چهارباغ کهنه عباسی به چهارباغ بالا محسوب می شد. نام هایی که برای سی و سه پل تا کنون ذکر شده است عبارتند از: پل الله وردیخان، پل شاه عباسی، پل چهل چشمه، پل سی و سه چشم و پل جلفا معمار این اثر ارزشمند تاریخی استاد حسین بنا اصفهانی می باشد و از جمله حقایقی که برای آن ذکر شده نحوه ساخت آن بوده که رطوبت باعث افزایش استحکام آن می شود که متاسفانه با کمبود آب در زاینده رود سی و سه پل دچار آسیب هایی شده است زیرا معماری و ساخت آن به نحوی بوده که برای قرار گرفتن در آب مناسب است. پیترودلاواله (Pietro Della Valle) جهانگرد ایتالیایی معروف ، سی و سه پل را چنین شرح داده است: “روی این رودخانه پلی وجود دارد که تماما از آجر ساخته‌شده و عرض آن از تمام پل‌های رم بیشتر است و طول آن حداقل سه الی چهار برابر آن پل‌ها است. معماری این پل به طرز عجیبی
