My husband and I were looking for a few days of downtime to rest and restore and this home was perfect for us. We had the right mix of tourist activities and downtime. The local golf course is fantastic! The location is quiet and serene. Nancy is a fabulous host- I highly recommend!"

The Red Door Barn is more than just a getaway; it’s a labour of love and a tribute to Nova Scotia’s rich history.

This property was once home to grazing sheep, tended by local fishermen who worked both the land and sea. The rock wall lining our driveway is the last standing reminder of that era, a small piece of the hardworking legacy we’re proud to honor.

Every detail of our design was thoughtfully crafted to reflect and celebrate the spirit of those who came before us. We hope that during your stay, you not only enjoy the beauty of the ocean but also feel connected to the heritage and stories woven into this land.
