Located on beautiful Pender Island, our 10-acres of beachfront are home to hundreds of blooming Sunflowers, Cosmos, Dahlias, and more... In addition to our flower farm & fruit/vegetable gardens on Pender Island, we have a second location in Maple Ridge, BC for harvesting year round! (formerly Alouette Blooms)

BEACHFRONT VACATION HOME RENTAL

You want beach front? Huge home with a giant kitchen for your convenience including a 36" gas range. Lots of room to spread out both inside and out on this property with 650' of ocean front. The ocean is right off the lawn and the beach has small pebbles. We are right beside the Port Browning Marina if you have a boat to dock or launch. Also delicious food at the pub and kayak and paddle board rentals. The space

Plenty of room to spread out inside and outside. We have hammocks to snooze and relax on the back patio to enjoy as well. The side lawn is large enough for you to fly kites on and play Bocce Ball and just sit in one of our Adirondack chairs to watch lovely views of the ocean. Guest access

The house is not shared with anyone else. The beach is public but there is plenty of space for you. The wetlands beside us are for viewing only. It is one of two protected lands on the Island. Perfect for bird watching. OCEANFRONT WEDDING VENUE:

Say "I do" at this prime oceanfront wedding venue located on Pender Island, British Columbia in the Southern Gulf Islands. Exchange vows on our picturesque beach while the waves crash in the background and the sun sets on the horizon. Our beautiful site boasts panoramic views of the ocean and we can accommodate up to 100 people on site with parking. The beautiful beach house which sleeps 14 is available to rent for your wedding party. The house was built as close to the ocean as possible with level walkout to the small pebble beach. The property is stunning and there is a huge cut flower garden on the property. When the flowers are in season, we'd love to help you use our flowers for your special day. The venue booking includes 3 nights. For example: Thursday-Sunday or Friday-Monday. Our experienced event planning team will work with you to create the wedding of your dreams. Let us make your special day one that you and your guests will never forget. Costs

• $5,000 Wedding/event fee + tax (high season May 15–October 15)
• $4,000 Wedding/event fee + tax (low season October 2–May 14)
• $4,000 Beach house rental for 3 nights – sleeps 14 (additional nights $1,200 ea.)
• Extra beach house nights bill out at $1,200 ea.
• We allow for 4 RVs at $100 per night (no hook-up and must use own toilet.)
• Porta Potty rental Friday–Monday for 2 units $500
Indoor space

• Beach house includes 3 nights. (For example: check-in 4pm Thursday night → with late check out 4pm Sunday / or / check-in Friday 4pm → with regular check out 10am Monday.)
• Beach house sleeps 14: 4–bedrooms and 4–bathrooms.
• Bathroom and showers to be used by 14 house guests only due to maximum capacity of the septic.
• Fully equipped kitchen with an x-large island and 36” gas range & dishwasher.
• No pets/animals and no smoking indoors or outdoors on the property.
• No hot plates allowed inside.
• Extra nights can be booked for an additional $1,200 per night.
• Extra guests can be booked at $100 p/p per night. Outdoor space

• Oceanfront large level grassy area for ceremony and reception. (Nice and flat for chairs, tables and/or tent.)
• 100 guests and parking for 25 cars.
• Access is permitted from 4pm first day rented → until 11am last day rented. (Earlier and later access to the property may be allowed if agreed upon earlier in writing.)
• Porta potty rental needed (quote for 2 units Friday–Monday = $500)
• No amplified music outdoors between 11pm and 7am (8am Sat/Sun and holidays) CRD Bylaw #3378
• Event shut down at 11pm
• On-site staff is handled by events co-ordinator/wedding planner.
• All garbage is to be removed from the property/island by the renter. If you do leave any onsite there will be a $50 per bag charge to dispose of it.
• Avalon Cut Flowers are available to purchase for your wedding in season from our garden. Payment

We require a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. 50% due 90 days ahead non-refundable and the remaining balance 30 days ahead with the required permits (liquor license and event insurance). Cancellations by Avalon by the Sea: We may cancel a confirmed booking at any time due to a Force Majeure (including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, storm or other natural disaster, war, invasion, hostilities, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, terrorist activities, blockage, embargo, labour dispute, strike, lockout, health pandemic or interruption or failure of electricity, or septic) or other unforeseen circumstance that may make the property unsafe or unable to provide an appropriate level of service. Force Majeure cancellations are made at the discretion of Avalon by the Sea and allow for full refund of any deposits made. Getting here

Our house offers ample space for relaxation and enjoyment, both indoors and outdoors. The kitchen is equipped with a convenient 36" gas range, making meal preparation a breeze. With 650 feet of ocean frontage, you can step right onto the lawn and stroll along the small pebble beach. You'll also have a great view of the bay, where sailboats are always bustling, providing an entertaining sight.

• CONVENIENT LOCATION - Adjacent to the Port Browning Marina, our location is perfect if you have a boat to dock or launch. Additionally, there's a delightful pub nearby offering delicious food, as well as kayak and paddleboard rentals for those seeking some aquatic adventures.

• SPACIOUS AND SLEEPS 14 - Inside the house, there's plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. You can unwind in our hammocks or enjoy the back patio, perfect for soaking in the surroundings. The spacious side lawn is ideal for flying kites, playing Bocce Ball, or simply sitting back in one of our comfortable Adirondack chairs, taking in the beautiful ocean views.

• PRIVATE ACCOMMODATIONS - During your stay, please note that the house is solely for your use, providing privacy and comfort. While the beach is public, there is ample space for you to enjoy it without any overcrowding. The adjacent wetlands are a protected area and offer a fantastic opportunity for birdwatching, allowing you to appreciate the island's natural beauty.

• SAY "I DO" BY THE SEA - If you're planning a wedding, our oceanfront venue is the perfect choice. With a picturesque beach and panoramic views of the ocean, you can exchange vows surrounded by natural beauty. Our site can accommodate up to 100 guests and provides ample parking. Additionally, we offer a beach house for rent, which sleeps 14 and provides easy access to the small pebble beach.

• FRESH FLORALS - Our property also features a large cut flower garden. When in season, you can use our beautiful flowers for your special day, adding a natural touch to your wedding arrangements.

• BOOKING DETAILS - Booking our venue includes a three-night stay, allowing you to fully enjoy your wedding experience. This includes our experienced day-of coordinator and a discount on a wedding planner.

• PRICING - For pricing, our wedding/event fee is $5,000 + tax during the high season (May 15-October 15) and $4,000 + tax during the low season (October 2-May 14). The beach house rental for three nights is $4,000, with additional nights available for $1,200 each. We allow up to four RVs on-site at $100 per night (no hook-up, own toilet required). Porta Potty rental will be needed for 30+ guests. (Please visit our website for more details about these costs.)

• INDOOR SPACE - Our indoor space includes a beach house with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, accommodating up to 14 guests. The fully equipped kitchen features an extra-large island, a 36" gas range, and a dishwasher. Please note that pets/animals and smoking are not permitted indoors or outdoors on the property.

• OUTDOOR SPACE - Outdoors, you'll find a spacious and level grassy area along the oceanfront, ideal for your ceremony and reception. We can accommodate up to 100 guests and provide parking for 25 cars. Access to the property is allowed from 4pm on the first day of your rental until 11am on the last day. Porta-potty rental is available, and we kindly ask that no amplified music is played outdoors between 11pm and 7am (8am on weekends and holidays).

• EASY ACCESS - To reach us, you can take the BC Ferry from Tsawwassen to Pender Island or book a flight with Seair Seaplanes from Richmond to Pender Island.
