ICE DIVE 2025
Now that we are finally getting some cold temperatures, the ice is beginning to get thick enough for an Ice diving course. I want to check if there is enough interest to put on a course. Let me know in the comments if you would be interested in taking the Ice diver certification in mid February.

DIVERS NEEDED!!
JCI is hosting an Penticton Channel Cleanup on Sunday, Sept 29th. 9am-2pm. Volunteers will be cleaning the shoreline, while Volunteer divers will clean underwater. Please contact [email protected] to register for the dive team, and contact JCI at [email protected] to Volunteer for shoreline Cleanup. Thank you for helping us keep the Penticton Channel pristine.

This is why I love diving, I have done 1000s of dives in Okanagan Lake and dozens of night dives. I have never seen a Crayfish in Okanagan Lk. But last night we saw 4, (One was dead). There was giant one inside a boat that was over 12" long and 6" from elbow to elbow. Iam so glad I brought my camera. For reference, the one in the boat is between two 2x4s and is walking on a 2x6. How is it that I have never seen one before at this site, where I have done a thousand dives alone. Nor have I ever seen a dead one, but then see 4 on one dive?
