that Sandbanks has a sister park? North Beach Provincial Park is a beautiful day-use only sandbar situated on Lake Ontario and North Bay on the West Side of Prince Edward County. This can be a nice alternative when Sandbanks is at max capacity.

🏖️ Operating hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 8pm; Saturday-Sunday 8am to 9pm
🍦 Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream available at the park store open Friday-Sunday 11am-5pm
🏊 PFD's are available for rent at either our park store or gatehouse
🌊 Please be aware of water conditions at all times. Although the waves may look like fun, undertows exist on the Lake Ontario Beach and a deep water drop off exists on the North Bay Beach side.

☀️ Don't forget to reserve your daily vehicle permit in advance to guarantee access! You can reserve up to 5 days in advance of your arrival at: https://reservations.ontarioparks.com/

We are happy to announce that – starting June 7 – visitors to our park will be able to obtain their daily vehicle permit up to 5 days in advance of arrival! www.ontarioparks.com/dayuse

Day use remains free Monday to Thursday (May 1 – September 2), but our park can fill up fast, especially during busy times. To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend that you secure your spot before you visit our park this year.

We are encouraging everyone to do your part to minimize the risk to ourselves and to others by ensuring you continue to follow all public health advice and engage in outdoor activities close to where you live.

Out and about and gotta go? 🚽

We've made a map of The County's public washrooms for when you've gotta go on the go.

The restrooms in Picton, Wellington, Bloomfield, Carrying Place and Ameliasburgh are open from 8 am to 7pm daily and are cleaned twice a day.

Portable toilets are available in Hillier, Waupoos, Athol, Consecon, Rossmore, Sophiasburgh, South Marysbugh, Cherry Valley, Consecon and Picton Marina, and are cleaned daily.

Please. Use this map. And use the washrooms. ✌️

🏖️ Beachward Bound in The County? 🏖️

❌ STOP, READ! The tips below are essential knowledge:

🌊 Sandbanks and North Beach Provincial Parks are *very busy* on weekends. Thousands of day-use visitors are turned away each day when the beach is at capacity. Plan to visit mid-week or early morning/late afternoon. Follow Sandbanks PP on Twitter for up-to-the-minute info about closures.

🌊 Wellington Rotary Beach has limited capacity and will close when full. On-site parking is $20 per vehicle on weekends/stat holidays. Check The County's website, Twitter (Shire_Hall) or Facebook for updates on beach closures.

🌊 Little Bluff Conservation Area is CLOSED until further notice. Check Quinte Conservation's website for information on permitted use.

🌊 Respect parking regulations at water access points. Parking fines are hefty and enforced. Please respect private property and do not trespass.

🌊 Physical distancing is in effect, even on the beaches! Respect each others' space and leave at least 6ft between your social circle and others.

🌊 Clean up after yourself. Be prepared to pack out your own garbage. If there is not a garbage bin nearby, take your garbage with you.

🌊 The County is so much more than our beaches! Explore The County's incredible sights, flavours, shops, and talents. There are many places to catch a breeze, find some shade, quench your thirst and meet the people who make The County so special. Need ideas? Check out www.visitpec.ca

Sandbanks Provincial Park is one of the busiest parks in the province, welcoming over 750,000 visitors every summer! At peak times, visitors might wait over two hours just to make it inside the gate. Many weekends, Sandbanks hits capacity and can’t welcome any more visitors until later in the day....
