From the first day I tried Claire’s products, I just knew I had to share them here in our space. Seriously, I just can’t get enough. BRB, running for the hand lotion now.

Both of our bedrooms are equipped with the comfiest king sized beds, bamboo sheets and duvets. We value our sleep and think you should too when you’re away from home!

After being out exploring The County all day, sometimes you just feel like staying in. Our spacious apartment offers an open concept dining area beside the kitchen for hosting dinners. It’s a perfect gathering space for friends! If cooking isn’t for you, all of Picton’s restaurants are only a few steps away from our Main Street location.

Why not take a break from your home office and work from The Globe apartment!

We have Bell Fibre internet and a dedicated workspace for two people. Not to mention some of the best cafes and coffee shops all at your front door on Main Street, Picton.

Need a bright and stylish meeting space? I think our dining area would transform into a boardroom quite well!

I chose this terrazzo countertop for the office nook and kitchen because it reminds me of the limestone shores of The County. Growing up here, we all spent a lot of time skipping rocks, having beach fires, looking for fossils, horn trips (shhhhhhhh!), and sleeping overnight along these pebble beach shores.

Somehow it just feels nostalgic to me and I love, love, love it. My husband, not so much - I actually think he said he hates it. Ha. Oh well, hopefully you love it as much as I do!

Ok, now I have to ask it… TO terrazzo or NOT TO terrazzo 😜

My absolute favourite part of putting our space together was the day this print arrived. The file came from the Prince Edward County Archives and was printed and framed by . I couldn’t be more happy how it turned out and stare at it constantly. I haven’t had much luck finding many interior photos, but I love to think about who used to stay here and often imagine what it looked like back in the day. Can you believe The Globe Hotel (the front part of our building) was built in 1836? I have to pinch myself everyday for owning a piece of Picton’s history and look forward to sharing a small part with you!

This couch gets rave reviews, it swallows you up and is SO comfortable. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!! We wanted to make this space as comfortable as home… so after a day exploring The County, kick back and relax before hitting the Main Street restaurants. Everything Picton has to offer is only steps away!

We put a lot of thought into designing this space. This office nook in the hallway offers a separate area for those who want to get away, but still need to keep up with work! Zoom calls, emails - or even a big, separate space for kids to create - Bell fibre internet finishes it off with a great wifi connection. Our apartment on Main Street, downtown Picton, is now open for bookings! Although, I’ve loved working here myself so much, it’s going to be hard to share 😜

Two large bedrooms with brand new king-sized beds! Closets and dressers for lots of storage… bamboo sheets and ceiling fans to stay nice and cool.

Our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for quiet nights in with the family, or pre-drinks and snacks with the girls. Don’t feel like cooking? That’s ok, Picton is full of incredible restaurants and cafés that are all at your front door.

I’m always curious to know who stayed in the building while it was The Globe Hotel. All of the photos I’ve shared so far are from Prince Edward County Archives, they also have some old ledger books with guest names and dates they stayed. I would have loved to see Main Street Picton in the 1800’s! Look at the detail on the window dormers and the roof. She was much prettier back then, but I promise to work hard and bring her back to life… slowly but surely.

The third storey was added in 1870 to make the ‘Second Empire’ style, with mansard-roof, segmentally-arched dormers and liberal use of ironwork.

Renovations for our two-bedroom short-term rental apartment are in full swing! We will be taking bookings to stay on Main Street in beautiful very soon.

The Globe Hotel dates back to 1836 and was one of Picton’s longest running hotels - it was in operation until the 70’s, so for about 135 years!

According to The Settler’s Dream, “As pictured on the Tremaine map and even as viewed today, the hotel contains two distinct sections. To the left is the hotel itself, built of stone with an arched carriageway leading to the inn-yard behind; adjacent is a brick wing, likely the earlier of the two, which protrudes slightly to the street… Some of the fine detailing, such as the shopfront on the bakery and the doorcases and original sash on the hotel, are quite prominent in the Tremaine view. In it’s day, the Globe was one of the town’s most impressive structures.”
