We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes' drive away from home. Our most common question is where a good place is to eat close by. There are several great spots to grab a bite and chat with friends and family, on those days you just don't want to do the cooking. This week we will feature a few that are all within a 5-minute walk from our door.
Today we are at Renny's, and I highly recommend their build a burger and home cut fries, but make sure you are hungry. Great environment, friendly cheerful service and excellent food.

We were so blessed to be invited by Pacheedaht First Nation to go feed the baby fish before they are released into the Pacific Ocean. They begin their life at the Port Renfrew Hatchery and are taken care of by Lisa and her husband. When they are big enough, they are put into pens 40,000 per pen to get them used to the water temperature. Pacheedaht First Nation and Lisa feed them twice a day until they are ready to be released into the Ocean. Hoping to see them return in four years.
Thank you again Pacheedaht and Lisa for allowing us to be part of this wonderful experience.
