To complete our trip around the rainbow we finish strong with a selection of our pinkest pinks. I can't get enough of all the shades of pink we have growing from spring until fall. I think pink has to be my favorite colour we grow - so many options to choose from!

One thing I know about purple is that purple people LOVE purple. Like you can say your favorite colour is blue or whatever but you will positively know when someone's favorite colour is purple - their lives are purple. I am not a purple person but I do grow quite a few shades of aubergine to satisfy those Grimace loving baddies out there.

ok ok, we don't grow a lot of blue so please enjoy a shot of the Northern Lights from last summer added into the mix. Blue is a tricky colour - a lot of growers and seed sellers will claim blue blooms but they are really dark purple so finding true blue petals is a challenge. We are adding some more blues to our roster this year: more nigella, more delphinium and adding tweedia. We aren't specifically growing forget-me-nots this year but I grew them two years ago and they are never going away so they pop up whenever and wherever they feel like it.

Green marks the first signs of spring with thousands of bulbs poking their little shoots up from the chilly soil. We are also so lucky to have handfuls of little green tree frogs that live among our rows in the summertime; they particularly love our dahlias.

Up next in our journey through the rainbow of colour grown here on the farm we have 🍊 ORANGE 🍊 bright or burnt, peachy or rusty we grown so many hues of orange. It's one of the first colors we see in the spring with our Narcisuss and all the way to first frost with our Dahlias. Taking inspiration from .hat.farm to really dig into colour theory in floral design, I've been going through and revising what we are growing for 2025 to really lock in our recipes for creative bouquets. I've been pulling photos from what we grew in 2024 and arranging by colour to see where there are gaps. I thought I'd share some of what I've found! We are in the final stretch for wreath season! You have two more opportunities to deck your halls before we close up shop for the season! We have a few spots left for our workshop at this Thursday from 6-8pm and we will be back at the on Saturday for our last market of 2024!

HUGE thank you to everyone for coming out last night to Moonlight Madness last night! Despite the weather you completely cleared us out and I honestly can't begin to thank you enough. Back in the wreath shop today to replenish our stock for the market tomorrow. We will be at the QB market for the next 3 Saturdays so if you missed your chance last night to snag one of our big fluffy wreaths you have a few more opportunities. Oooweeee it's chilly today! We finally had our first hard frost and I may have forgot to detach a couple hoses, whoops! At least all the greens be greenin'! I am so happy with our wreaths this year! Wow!! Thank you to everyone who signed up for workshops yesterday and today! A few dates only have a couple spots available but if you have a group of friends, Nov 23 is the best option for you! Our wreaths last for months on your door due to our chilly damp climate so your wreath will last well past the holidays and be a lovely winter accent on your door into the new year. 🎄 Jump on those sign ups, the remaining spots won't last long!
