Our fruit trees produced some really beautiful & delicious fruit this season! The greengage plums is our favorite 🤤

We also have some late bloomers poppin' up in the yard! 💐

There's a pretty good chance you'll see humpbacks, orca's or little pods of porpoise go by - but in the meantime you can sit and watch these guys ✨

Sharon the Herron enjoys surfing on the logs that float by, Kyle the juvenile occasionally pops in for a quick hello, and you will hear Cindy & Frank every morning in their nest above The Homestead!

Backstory!

We purchased the property on Read Island, BC, two and a half years ago with the intention of turning the Homestead into a vacation rental in hopes that we can meet people from all over, share stories and the experience of what life is like off the grid. We have been working hard to renovate so we can open for you all to come and relax and enjoy this little piece of paradise!

We look forward to meeting you, and having you discover how we chose our name!
