☀️🏝️Live from Mexico - day 5 🏝️☀️
Before I left Canada, I researched tours & companies (just like I do for my clients if they are interested in day tours or activities in destination). I decided on, booked and pre-paid for two very different tour experiences here this week. The first one was the private one from a few days ago, and today was a large group bus tour to Chichen Itza. It’s really important to me to experience the types of tours and activities that my clients ask about. Personally I love to explore the destinations that I travel to, and anyone who has sat at my desk knows that I love to get to know them better so that I can share tips, hints and suggestions for their trips too, so that they have the best kind of vacation experience for THEM. 🤗

Day 4 in Mexico ☀️🏝️
We moved over to the RIU Hotel Cancun today, and I also got to tour the RIU Palace Las Americas next door. I learned a lot about the differences between the classic and palace RIU resorts and I’m excited to share that knowledge with my clients 🤗

☀️🏝️LIVE FROM MEXICO 🏝️☀️
WOW!! I had an AMAZING experience yesterday on a private tour with a local company that I can’t recommend enough! (Please reach out if this is something that you would be interested in on your vacation in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area because you can book tours with this company through me 😃)
We were picked up at our resort at 7:30 AM, where we headed off to snorkel with sea turtles. From there, we took a guided private tour through the Tulum ruins, and after that we enjoyed an incredible snorkeling / swimming experience through a cavernous cenote, which we had to ourselves. Our guide was truly fantastic and I’m so happy I booked this experience before we left home. 🐚🐠

Live from Mexico! 🏝️☀️ I got to do a tour around the resort and through the different room categories at the Valentin yesterday. It was a great way to see the differences, and learn more about the resort. This one was my absolute favourite. Can you imagine yourself relaxing in that hammock, listening to the ocean? I know I can! 🤗😍

Day 1 in Mexico 🤗. After we booked our direct flight to Cancun on WestJet, westjet changed it to include a layover in Calgary. 6:20 AM flight from Regina and we got into Cancun around 4:30pm including a 2-ish hour layover in Calgary. We had pre-booked a private transfer to the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya where we will be staying for the next three nights. Because we didn’t check any luggage and only took carry-on, we made it through customs and out into the pick up area very quickly. After that, it was a quick 30-ish minute drive to the resort.After checking in, we tried out a couple of the à la carte restaurants here because you don’t need to make a reservation at them at this resort, and then enjoyed some evening entertainment.
First impressions:
- i’m very happy with the company that I chose for the private transfer. Reach out to me if you’re interested in this option!
- it was a very easy, direct highway drive from the airport
- the entrance/driveway to the Valentin is beautiful
- our room is an entry-level one and it is very spacious
- the food has been great at the a la carte’s
- this feels like a very spacious, quiet resort.
Tomorrow morning, I get a tour of some other room categories and I’m looking forward to exploring the resort in daylight ☀️🏝️

I’m heading to Cancun for a week of sunshine, relaxation, and a few exciting adventures and I will be back in the office on November 12! ☀️🌴 I can’t wait to explore and try out some fun excursions that I’ll be sharing along the way. 🌟 Destination Spotlight Saturday 🌟

Let’s talk about the magical Cinque Terre – a destination I’ve had the pleasure of exploring firsthand. These five colorful villages perched on the rugged cliffs of Italy’s Ligurian coast are absolutely breathtaking! 🌊🏘️

I explored all five villages, ate lots of pesto and seafood and hiked multiple trails throughout the region, including one that took me high into the hills above all the villages – and the views were nothing short of spectacular. 🌿🏞️ Whether you’re walking the scenic paths between the villages, savoring fresh seafood, or soaking in the incredible sea views, Cinque Terre is truly a dream for any traveler.

💌 Thankful Thursday 💌

I’m feeling so grateful today! I received this beautiful thank you card and flowers from a wonderful couple I had the pleasure of helping plan their dream trip to Italy.

They started with a guided tour (booked through me) through the iconic cities of Rome, Florence, Venice, Lake Como, and Milan, soaking in Italy’s rich history, art, and breathtaking views. 🏛️🌟 After the tour, they set off on their own independent adventure (booked through me after we planned it out together), traveling from Milan to stay in the stunning coastal villages of Cinque Terre, then enjoying a relaxing stay at an agriturismo outside of Pisa, before heading back to Rome. 🌿🏞️

It was an unforgettable journey, and I’m so glad I could help make it everything they dreamed of and more!
