We have the unique privilege of spending time with your dogs; one of the happiest days is meeting these pups and their humans, and the saddest is when they must cross the rainbow 🌈 bridge … this weekend we lost a dear sweet member of our pack, Charlie. 😢

An OG at Pawsitive Transitions, he was a friend to the many dogs that have come through our doors over the last 10 years, a best buddy to all of our goldens, always sniffing a little extra long on his hikes with uncle Greg, and to me, well, Charlie stole my heart the first day I met him ☺️ … those duck toller eyes sure do a number on you! 💚

Our thoughts, hugs and love, are with his humans, and his fur brother, sweet Digby!

Rest easy sweet Charlie, I’m certain Cooper will be on the other side to greet you and show you all the awesome hiking & swimming spots. You will be missed dear friend! 💔💔💔

Happy hallowe’en from Redgee & Serein! 🎃

A few safety tips for this upcoming holiday:

1. Keep all candy/chocolates/chips away from the dogs reach! Xylitol can be deadly, it’s an artificial sweetener … dark chocolate can be deadly, it will cause liver failure, so just tuck them away and use this as a teaching opportunity for your children too!

2. If you’re going to dress your pups up tomorrow just make sure they are comfortable … heads and tails are how they communicate so it’s safest to have these visible!

3. Keep the evening dog walks to earlier if you can and he sure your equipment is secure on them … if your dog freaks out over costumes or loud noises and wants to bolt, you need to keep them safe!

4. Keep your pups in a safe spot indoors too, if they tend to bolt out the front door or are bothered by the door bell or knocking, keep a collar and leash on them so they don’t get out of the house or keep them entertained in a separate room … the greatest number of pet deaths/lost dogs, happens on hallowe’en! 😔

5. Pumpkin is a great addition to their diets but best to be consumed after it’s gently cooked, add in some cinnamon too, it’s a great deterrent for fleas!

Warning: sounds of raw bone crunching in this video 😉 .... safe for your dog to eat 100%, but as with anything new, always supervise! We've been on this balanced raw feeding journey for 7 years, and there's nothing better than seeing a dog enjoy a healthy (and safe!) treat, that isn't loaded with a gazillion calories and a bunch of ingredients that you can't even pronounce. There's one ingredient is this treat: veal tail tip! Teeth won't completely clean themselves just feeding ground raw food (or will kibble or cooked food or dehydrated food), so bones such as this, give a really good opportunity to get to the back teeth where some really good crunching happens. Some dogs & cats tend to have softer teeth, gum issues, sensitivity, so it's also a good idea to incorporate teeth brushing if bones, such as these, don't do the trick.
