Wayne Parsons grew up in Gros Morne, Newfoundland. He has been playing music in the province for 50 years. Starting as a drummer in several different musical groups playing rock and roll, he later became a singer/guitarist/frontman in a popular country rock band in the mid 80s called Uncle Harry’s Bar. Wayne is a gifted storyteller with an eclectic mix of musical genres and has made music his life. Today Wayne is working with folk trio called FOLKIT and the very popular Anchors Aweigh show.

Blue Star Juniper was formed in September of 2022. Craig Young (guitar) and Andrea Monro (banjo, guitar) met and realized that the music they could make together would be memorable and profound. While Craig has toured extensively and worked with some of the best country and bluegrass artists in the world, Andrea has performed throughout Canada and Europe. Both are from Newfoundland. This duo makes together amazing music sharing lead vocals and harmonies in beautifully arranged Newfoundland-influenced country-folk music. These two together make an incredible musical evening!

Originally from Francois, NL Craig Young has been playing the guitar since the age of seven and started playing in his first band around the age of thirteen. As a member of the Terri Clark band he relocated to Nashville Tennessee, where he was based for nearly eight years while touring extensively and performing regularly on stages such as the Grand Ole Opry and with other superstars such as Ricky Skaggs. Craig has won four CCMA awards for The Canadian Country Music Association All Star Band – Guitarist category and has had several top 40 singles. He currently performs with the Anchor's Aweigh Band in Rocky Harbour.
