Hey all, looks like I am feeling better and almost feeling like myself again! Thank you everyone for being so understanding this week it was really nice to be back out with your dogs this morning and to actually have the energy to be out of bed!

Also quick update: Happy Paws has gone through a name change. It was originally supposed to be a temporary name way back when I started until I found something I wanted. 🤦‍♀️😂 Well it has been a few years and I have finally figured it out. Happy Paws was pretty generic and impossible to make a website as there are so many out there!

**Quest- Training and walking

As it stands right now I am in the process of making a website for Quest and have been for quite some time. I have been derailed many times and it has been in construction for I don't know how long but will eventually be ready. My plan was to change my page along with telling all of you about my new website. That seems to be taking me an incredible amount of time and since everything else regarding my business is now Quest I have decided to just say screw it and we are moving on without the website for the time being. Hopefully it will be ready soon but until then all my pictures and future information will be posted on my Quest page.

Scout made some friends today. Miss luna and miss maggie both had a chance to play with him individually. I definitely like 1 on 1 play so no one gets ganged up on and it's much easier to keep a level head. Especially with dogs who struggle with controlling their arousal.
Great first walk for scout with this particular pack.
3 poodle mixes ( labradoodle, whoodle and wolfadoodle)today and all 3 need help chilling out at times.

Things I practice with my guys every walk. Distance sits and downs are just as important to me as recall. I also practice walking by my side off leash, this is for walking past other dogs and/or people. We have many places around victoria where we can walk our dogs off leash but that means we need to have control. I don't want my dogs running up to anyone because I don't know what the other dog is like or the person. Other people and dogs could be afraid of me approaching and the last thing I want is someone's training set back or someone made to feel uncomfortable because my dogs were out of control. During my pack walks I practice recalls every single walk. We also practice sitting and waiting at an distance while other people pass by. If anyone wants any help perfecting their off leash skills, please let me know.

Maggie has a weird obsession, storm drains. Her recall is fabulous until there's a storm drain around. It's very odd. Any other weird obsessions I should know about?? Ha

Had a fabulous walk this morning and everyone got to enjoy a little off leash time. Just lovely.

Fun up on Stewart mountain. Starting to build on Luna's recall and learning to stick with the pack. She has only gotten a few minutes off lead here and there as she didn't even know her name 2 weeks ago but she is starting to get it. We need her to have lots of success so I'm slowly increasing distractions, distance and general difficulty. I'm very happy with how responsive she is becoming. Luckily she loves the other dogs so she sticks with us quite nicely! 😀
