It's difficult to keep posting without acknowledging the passing of our sweet boy, Scruffy. Scruffy is the reason we allow pets at our cottage because he loved being there too and we wanted to share his joy. It's a pastime we loved sharing together, sitting by the lake, listening to the water. It's something we grew up doing together every summer. He's not a swimmer but loved being on his very own boogie board, which we'll be retiring this coming season. Scruffy has been with me half my life, and while he was 2 months shy of turning 18, it still came as a shock. I thought we had more time. I miss him incredibly, and being at the cottage will never be the same.
