NWPT ~ 📸 &

🦅 We are still buzzing from our first Nanook Lodge photography tour of the season !

In our time together we were blessed with one of the largest eagle shows we’ve ever witnessed, and had opportunity to photograph dolphins/porpoises, black bear, grizzly bear, humpback and orca.

We’d like to thank the Victoria Camera Club for helping make our first photography tour of the season a raging success ! And a big thank you to Nick and Kathryn for being such gracious hosts.

The dramatic and colourful walls along the mainland inlets and arms make great backdrops as well as for landscape photography.
Moss beds and lichen covered rocks contrast well with the red bark of the arbutus tree.

This was a scene at the
Phillips River in the month of June.
A nice 30min cruise from the lodge and we can explore estuaries with all kinds of action! This was roaming the river mouth looking for & nutrient rich shellfish under the rocks. Impreesvive watching him flip boulders with very little effort..

A private show in protected water with a very impressive subject! The Humpbacks in our zone have been on point and possibly exploring waters once explored by their ancestors.. a waterway that is abundant with life!
