Air Canada has just announced that they will be serving free wine and beer on their flights in Canada and the US.
See Porter Airlines response (they already serve it free). Wonder what Westjet will do.

Haha...let's hope this leads back to free food on board as well .. hmm we will wait and see!

For those who want to see different sizes of cruise ships where size matters. Here are 3 parked in Ushuaia, Argentina in South America. The big ship in the back is Princess Sapphire..she carries 2670 passengers. The blue ship is National Geographic Resolution ship that carries 138 pax and is heading to Antarctica and Ponant L'Austral that carries 264 passengers and are also heading to Antarctica. The larger ships like Princess, Celebrity, Holland America that sail in these waters cannot dock in Antarctica as they are too large!! They sail on by. If you want to dock in Antarctica then you need to sail on the Expedition ships of Ponant, Viking, Hurtigruten, National Geographic, Silversea, to name a few. Antarctica is a hot destination and Ushuaia is the city they leave from. I loved Ushuaia!!

Only One week to go.... I will be sailing on the Worlds Largest Cruise Ship...ICON of the SEAS by Royal Caribbean International. I cannot wait to meet their newest crew member -ROVER - Chief Dog Officer CDO - Yes this is true. He will be on board just making sure everyone is having a great time! Looking forward to meeting him and touring this Ship. Keep an eye out for my posts next week featuring this ship. I will be on board the ICON January 23-26th, 2024. Short trip but plan on seeing the whole ship...all 250,800 gross tons. She has 20 decks and can hold 7600 passengers and 2350 crew members. Oh yes and I must mention the 7 pools! See you soon ICON!

Just returned home last night from visiting the Christmas Markets in Europe on board an Avalon Waterways river cruise and a rail tour as well. We visited 9 different markets, 3 in Germany, 2 in France, 2 in Switzerland and 2 in Austria. It was a wonderful trip despite the rain...which was better than the cold snap with snow they had the week prior.
Here are some pictures to enjoy. i will be arranging another group tour for December 2025. If you love shopping, love many delectable foods like chocolate, schnitzel, stollen, and love the Spirit of Christmas, then this is the trip for you!

GARY. You will be missed. Gary was a motivational speaker who for the past few years, was part of our Annual TTAND Conference. He was so well liked, and his seminars were always well attended. He was a joy to listen to, and he knew how to hold the attention of a crowd! For our TTAND family we have felt this loss, and for his family we send our deepest condolences. He will sorely be missed by all who knew him. A Life Gone too soon.
