And just like that, you're back home. Everytime I travel to a new destination, I grow as a person. I kinda feel like Christopher Columbus, I want to come back and tell you what I saw and what I experienced. I take a chance everything I get on that plane, but it is so worth it to see what's on the other end.
Beauty, kindness and humbling. I was able to experience what life is like in Peru. A community of 100 plus families that work together.
They harvest, they cook, they do handicrafts and they welcome us with open arms. The new people I meet that share a little bit of themselves and not knowing who they will end up with as a roomate. (There will be no interviewing mine...lol....poor girl! lol)
To be at Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the new world, how can you describe that feeling?
I never once felt unsafe, frightened, even though I got lost wandering and ended up at the highway and then another village.....lol
But that's what makes it incredible. None of us are different than anyone else, other than we look different. And isn't that wonderful? Would you want everyone to look alike?
Some have more money than others. Does that make them happier? Better people?
I came from middle class, to welfare, to just appreciating and experiencing whatever I can, with whatever I have been given.
None of us know what day or how our jouney will end. No matter how much you try to make it perfect.
