So lets have a sale! Here is what is remaining from the initial list from last month. All of these titles are 20% off and I will also pay for the shipping again. Again please comment below and first come and first serve!

So here are the details. In the comments below, write down specifically which one or ones you want and check to make sure no one else has vouched for it first. If more than one said they wanted it, I will go by the time stamp so please be aware of that as you can check yourself to see if you got it first. After that, please send me a DM, as to which one you want with the price or prices in total for what you have picked. I will respond with the email for an e-transfer within Canada. If you are in the US you can pay me via Paypal. All prices are in Canadian dollars and include the taxes and I will pay for the shipping.

I tried my best to grade all of the records on the conservative side so there will not be any angry buyers but I would say the vast majority are in great shape. I do have some more records besides these but I want to see how this lot goes first. I will let these stay up for sale for a couple of days I hope to have everyone's lps out for shipping by Friday. Anyone into some cheap vinyl digging? My buddy Steve has a yearly sale at his place where he tries to sell some cheap lps that he has. Lots of 12 inch singles plus some cool low end vinyl. If you can’t wait to see Campus Discs in September and feel the urge to look at some lower end lps then you should check out this sale

My favourite calls are from people who get in touch with me years later to sell more lps. In this case I bought 3000 lps from this very sweet lady about 3 years ago. She got in touch with me again while I was away and told me she has more lps to sell. I messaged her saying that I thought I bought everything from the basement . She replied “no my husband kept his better stuff upstairs”. After taking my vacation for the summer this is a great first collection to get back into the swing of buying season.

30 years old today for this masterpiece. Back story on how I became a GBV fanatic. In 1994, I had a friend who went to school in Pennsylvania. He would send me mixed tapes (yeah those were big back then) with all of the popular bands at the time that was played on his college radio station. Some bands I had heard off and some not a clue. He put this band called Guided By Voices on a tape with two of their songs, Echoes Myron and Tractor R**e Chain. Interesting name for a band but more importantly two amazing songs that I kept playing. Went to Sam’s on Yonge and bought the cd. Then I started reading the backstory on the band, Robert Pollard was a teacher until his later 30s, from Dayton etc and the rest is history and I was hooked. I lost touch with my friend who send me that tape 30 years ago but will always be thankful for that Special Delivery of that cassette To those of you that have never listened to this classic, put it on today to hear some LoFi magic with some of the catchiest tunes you will ever enjoy. S**t ya it’s cool!

Here are a few more teases for the online sale this Wednesday starting at 7pm EST. Been racking my brain about the best way to do it. Here is what I came up with Right at 7pm EST all of the lps will be listed along with pics of all of them. They will have the pressing details along with the grading. First person to write down in the comments gets that lp (I can check via time stamp). Once they vouch for it I will like the comment. After that they will have to send me a DM saying they will either pay through e-transfer (preferably or PayPal). Details will be in the listing After they have shown they have paid then I will get the address and ship everything out. The prices I am asking include taxes and I will pay for shipping with Canada and the US This will all be done on my page and not on Instagram. Hope you can make it

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I have put some thought into doing something a little different within the next couple of weeks. I get messages all of the time, “do you ship?” Or “how can I buy from you if I can’t make a school?” So here is my idea. I still have a lot of very expensive lps (over $100) left from the sale last month. My plan is to post them here with the prices that I am asking. Because of how expensive they are, I will pay for the shipping expense within Canada or US. I will post 10-20 at a time with all of the info of what pressing, condition etc. I will give a time of when I will post them and first person to message in the comments section and then pay via PayPal or e-transfer gets the lp. Any feedback would be much appreciated. I will let everyone on Instagram in on the action as well but all of the people that want anything have to be on Facebook. Thoughts ? If you would be into this idea, please like this post so I know how many would be interested in participating in this

Picked up this stoned cold classic today in a collection. It’s surprisingly very tough to get a nice clean copy like this one. For such an amazing and influential record, finding an OG isn’t so easy. For now I get to play it all summer, but come the fall it will go out for sale.

Happy long weekend everyone. What’s the craziest unlikely score you have ever come across ? Not the most expensive but one record you found so unexpectedly in the wild or odd place. For me, it was finding an OG Silver Jews American Water from a collection in small town Sterling Ontario, The collection was mainly Elvis, Beatles and 50s and 60s records. Let’s hear about these treasures!

Now that the season for selling has ended, it is time to reload for the school year, so it is officially buying time so I have plenty of fresh stock for September.

Please read below and share, share, share!

When someone calls me wanting me to purchase their lps, they tend to ask the same questions. Therefore it seems best to answer them below as you probably have the same thoughts.

What genres are you looking for?

Classic Rock, Jazz, Blues, Punk, Alternative, Soul, Reggae, Garage, Rockabilly, Hip Hop, RnB, Metal, Indie, New Wave, Goth, Industrial and many others but these are the main ones

What do you not buy?

Classical, Country, Big Band Jazz, Show Tunes, Pop Music from the 50s and 60s, Vocalists (Mathis, Reeves, Streisand, etc), ethnic music (ie German, Polka, Irish etc)

Do you buy 45s or 78s?

I try not to buy 45s unless they are part of a collection. Right now I have around 50-60k on hand so I am not on the lookout for them. For 78s, I do not buy them. Unfortunately they do not have any value for me and are very heavy!

What size of collections do you buy?

Any where from 100- 20,000 records but we can discuss whatever you have to sell

Will you travel to take a look at what i have to sell?

I am based in Toronto and will drive to wherever you are. I don't mind driving at all! However it will all depend on what you have in your collection for me to make it worth my while. If you are in Ottawa for instance, it would have to be a good size and value collection for me to spend the day travelling to purchase what you have to sell. We can discuss beforehand what you have and make a plan afterwards

How much do you pay for used records?

Great question that i get all the time. Sorry for the vagueness of the answer but it all depends on what you have. Condition, pressing, rarity, desirability and how much i have of that title on hand will factor into what I can pay. I pay very fair, as if you are happy, then you will recommend me to others!

Can I get a quote on what my collection is worth for you to purchase?

For sure, we can discuss the ballpark figure of what I would offer but I won't give an exact number unless I can see the lps myself. I need to look at the condition, pressing etc to give a more accurate number. I don't want to underpay someone and on the opposite side, overpay as the records were not as described. Condition is a very big factor in the value of a collection

Will you buy the whole thing or just what you need?

Most of the time, I prefer to make on offer on the whole thing. Whatever I don't need, I usually donate the remainder. For instance if I can use only 70% of a collection of 500 then I will give a little something for the 150 i don't need and donate them. As well, you can hang on to them as well

I am unsure that I want to sell everything, is that still fine?

For sure. What many people do is they ask for me to purchase only their higher value lps If that is the case, I ask what the minimum what they will take and I can go from there. I put the lps in different price points and come up with a figure with what I can offer.

I have some lps that I believe are worth good money but just want to make sure before you buy them, Is that ok?

Of course, I will go over what everything is worth to me. If you don't feel comfortable, then by all means you can hang onto the record.

How do I know that you have paid me fairly?

I have been in business for 28 years and 13 years dealing with used vinyl. I rely upon my reputation as the vast majority of people who get in touch with me is from someone else that has recommended me as being very honest with what they had to sell.

Right now, I am not ready to sell. Can I get forward your information to someone I know that has a good size collection that may wish to?

Will you buy my cds as well?

I get cds in by the thousands, however I still do buy cds. For cds, it has to be a fairly large collection (400 plus) and looking for the same kind of music that i stated for the vinyl earlier in the email. If you have records and cds for sale, then that is better.

Thank you very much to all of you that bid on the Chet Baker signed lp. It went for $250 and all of the funds were donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. I am sure cancer has unfortunately affected a close friend or family member of all of us. The funds could not have gone to a better cause. I hope to have another item up for auction in another month Have a great weekend !

I haven’t done this in awhile so why not today? I bought this in a collection a little while ago and the person told me that he met Chet Baker in 1986 to get this autograph. Looks legit and compares with online signatures of his. This is an auction. It ends at 6pm Thursday evening April 25th. I will go by the time stamp that I see on Facebook. I will pay for shipping if you can’t pick it up from me. Is anyone having a tough time paying a bill or going through a tough time and needs a to put some food on the table? Words cannot describe how much fun I had today. Vibe was electric and I can’t say enough good things about every single person that showed up today. Can’t say exactly how many people were there but it was a lot. I am going to decompress for a few days before I write up a year end post. Hope everybody had a blast today! For those of you coming to the sale tomorrow (and not on the event page ) here are some things to know about the sale tomorrow Starts at 930 am. Please park only along the Maxx building I won’t have any bags so please bring your own (or boxes). Sale ends at 230ish. Please don’t make a pile of 200 records to research each one then buy 5 of them (the others want to have chance at those). If you see a pile put aside, assume they are taken. If you pass on some titles, please give them back to me so I can put them in the right crates. Prices are fixed, please no haggling. If you are a dealer and plan on coming, please come at 1030.
