"Felt safe, but I was travelling with my female partner, so there were two of us. There seem to be lots of embassies and consulates in that neighbourhood. It is within walking distance of the Yaya Centre. Was relatively easy to get to the centre of Nairobi from there. The immediate area is not too busy. The centre of Nairobi seems to be permanently gridlocked. We managed to get to the museum and then made our way to Karen to visit the giraffe centre and the Karen Blixen house. We also stayed in a homestay not too far from the airport. That was near a bustling area with lots of markets"
