Normally my West Coast Wednesday posts are about Disneyland vs Walt Disney World, but since Timehop reminded me that exactly 2 years ago today we were visiting Legoland California I thought we would change it up a bit today!

Happy New Year! One of my goals this year is to start highlighting some of the differences between Disneyland and Walt Disney World, maybe a weekly "West-Coast Wednesday" post? Let's start with an easy one - how do you remember which park is where? Well, DisneyLAnd has 'LA' in it, because it is close(ish) to Los Angeles in California! Walt Disney WORLd has 'ORL' in it because it is in Orlando!

Did you know, Magic Kingdom usually hosts a New Years Eve party on both Dec 30 and Dec 31, complete with countdown to midnight!? A few years ago we were able to welcome the new year twice, once at Magic Kingdom and then the next night at EPCOT which was such a party! All around World Showcase you can learn about New Years traditions and celebrations from all around the world!

I always joke that we do New Years Eve super big or not at all. We have welcomed the new year at Walt Disney World, under the Eiffel Tower, and on the bridge in front of the London Eye and Big Ben! This year we are celebrating our son's very first New Years, aka, going to bed at 7pm 🥳
