One fabulous night at Valentin Imperial Maya! This adults only property has a high repeat guest rate - so I had to see why. I really loved the beautiful lush grounds and large pools. Never waited long for a drink at either swim up bar at the main pool.
The service was top notch. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast buffet as it’s simply gorgeous and had above average food. This old lady couldn’t stay up late enough to experience the nightly entertainment, but I guess that means I’ll have to come back 😆
I’d recommend this resort to couples and friend groups looking for quiet & relaxation 🌴

In just 2 weeks I'll be on my way to Cancun, Mexico for my host agency's annual conference! I, along with 200+ agents, supplier representatives and head office staff be hosted by our friends at Air Canada and Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo.

During this time there will be endless opportunities for networking, workshops & learning within our busy schedule. As this is not a vacation I will still be checking emails daily for existing bookings.

Our last day..Perfect Day at Coco Cay, Bahamas 🇧🇸
There is so much to do here, but we were just content on South Beach where there was much less wind and beautiful water.
Tonight we finished the evening with a stellar performance of The Wizard of Oz, complete with live orchestra!

To all my valued travel clients, and to all passengers travelling through Toronto Pearson airport today and for the foreseeable future.
As most Canadians are aware, Toronto Pearson - Canada’s busiest airport was hit with a bad Snow storm last Sat/Sun and then on Sunday, a crash of a Delta Airlines partner aircraft. Due to all these issues, Toronto Pearson is now operating with only 2 runways instead of 4. This has resulted in the delays, and cancellation of hundreds of flights by all airlines. Please be sure to check for flight departure and arrival times at www.torontopearson.com.

I have one request - Please be kind! We feel your frustration and anger, but know, we, your travel agent and/ or airline agent, are doing the best we can, as well as the airlines to try and get Canada’s busiest airport back on track.
If travelling through Toronto Pearson airport (or any airport for that matter) be sure to read your insurance policy as it applies to cancellations and trip interruption, to understand your rights and compensation.

Please pack your patience, as well as your luggage, when you do go to the airport, get there in plenty of time, and please make the best of a tough situation.

Spacious Infinite Oceanview Balcony #9632. Booked as an oceanview balcony guarantee. This class of ship actually offers 2 types of balconies. This one is an infinite balcony, which extends the space of your room and the window goes halfway down. There’s also blackout blinds. Then there’s also traditional balcony staterooms with the door and outside patio. I’m not quite sure which kind I prefer! Both have benefits and disadvantages.
The use of storage space here is very well thought out. Cubbies, cupboards, baskets and drawers everywhere. Beds can be separated into twins, or a ‘royal king’. The couch is perfect for a child or teen. Sleeps 3.
This is almost identical to the Celebrity Edge infinite oceanview balcony we had a few years ago.
For those wondering, we have 2 staterooms! It was less expensive for us to get 2 rather than cram into one upgraded room and we love the idea of 2 washrooms 👍

Spacious Interior 11408. This was was booked as a guaranteed interior and we lucked out getting the extra storage space. If ypu don’t spend a lot of time in your room, there’s good savings to be had with this category.
Yes, I make everyone wait outside so I can take my videos and pictures first 🙂

The Icon of the Seas! The efficiency getting through the terminal was outstanding. From check-in, to security, then boarding in 10 minutes. We had done our health & safety videos prior to arrival and checked in at our assembly point. Then, ate a quick lunch at Windjammer buffet (lobster on day 1!).
Made our way to deck 15 to find the Royal Bay pool, over 40,000 gallons it’s the largest pool at sea! It was refreshing yet warm and quickly got busy as more guests boarded the ship.
We moved on to Surfside neighborhood on deck 7. A kids dream: carousel, arcade, playground, ice cream, snacks, waterpark, and another pool!
We found the Aquatheatre on our way, can’t wait to see the diving show later this week!!
This day was full of excitement. Off to bed early for our sea day tomorrow!

Follow along on our next family journey aboard Royal Caribbean's ICON OF THE SEAS, the worlds largest passenger cruise ship! We are all so excited to explore all 7 pools, 8 neighborhoods and 6 waterslides (including the tallest drop slide at sea!)
