This time, we’re highlighting Achbaro Cooperative, a female-led initiative near Marrakech, Morocco! 🇲🇦 Dedicated to empowering Amazigh women economically, they specialize in crafting beautiful traditional carpets. G Adventures groups will soon enjoy an unforgettable, hands-on experience, including a weaving workshop led by the talented women of Achbaro. These talented artisans are weaving more than just beautiful carpets, but a brighter future for themselves and their families building economic independence, one thread at a time. 🪡

This G for Good Moment is all about blending flavours, cultures, and stories in the heart of Barcelona. Through the programs at Mescladis, migrants and youth are given the opportunity to learn how to work in a kitchen and learn practical skills they can use to find employment within the tourism industry.
The students and the staff at Mescladis also have the opportunity to teach travellers about how Spanish culture has blended with other cultures – both historically and more recently – all through serving and preparing delicious meals together. 🥘💜

🧍♀️🧍♂️ Way less crowded than the Inca Trail: we didn’t pass even one group on our three day trek! It’s just you and the mountains.
⏳ It’s a 3 day trek with day one and two being shorter and not full days. Day two is only an hour and a half and the rest of the day you make your way towards Machu Picchu!
💺 There is an epic train to Machu Picchu so why hike there. 🤪
↗️ The elevation is higher than the Inca Trail but you only climb up once and then you go downhill! In the Inca trail, it’s constant uphills and downhills.
Honestly the lack of crowds had us 😏 our experience was amazing! We went with G Adventures and our group had only 3 people including us. We took plenty of breaks, we climbed up 500 m on day one, 1000m on day 2 and went down on day 3. The trail had the cutest dogs, llamas, and alpacas but also the best views. ⛰️🏔️⛰️⛰️⛰️ We got fed three course meals and our camp sites had toilets too! The meals were prepared with fresh ingredients and we had so much help on the hike! We’d pick out fresh eucalyptus from trees and just learn so much about life in Peru. We also stumbled on an archaeological site on our way down!"
