April 1st, second day back on the trail towards Resolute 💥

The guys did a wapping 72km and saw tons of polar bear tracks on the trail.

Arriving to by has been an incredible experience, from gorgeous views to the the most incredible welcome by the community. We are very grateful and humbled by all the help and encouragement we received by Nunavut’s smallest community with the biggest heart. We’ve been resting for the last couple of days and repairing our equipment in preparation for our return trip. It’s going to be hard to leave this amazing place and its people.

Day 6 March 21st 🤩

The terrain is much smoother and easier for travel!

Jovan and Ben sleep with some winter gear on in the tent, while Devon, Daniel and Ephraim are nice and toasty in t-shirts in the iglutaq.

The landscape is absolutely stunning!

Day 5 March 20th ❄️

A couple dogs are injured and there was some issues with one of the qamutit.

The guys are in great spirits even in the frigid cold.

Day 4 March 19th ☀️

They are almost through the rough ice sections and making their way to Devon Island.

It’s been hard on the machines going through the rough ice terrain.

The dogs are doing great but get caught once in a while.

It’s been very cold but the 5 guys are still covering good ground.

And.. they are off!

Jovan and Devon will be travelling to Aujuittuq (Grise Fiord) by dog team and back again to Qausuittuq, while Ben, Daniel, and Ephraim will travel by snowmobile.

The 5 guys can’t be more excited to be travelling new grounds with the dogs!
