Presenting this week's interpretation schedule! This weekend, celebrate Parks Day and connect with Fundy National Park in a whole new way as we try to observe and identify as many species as possible.

🔴 Chick-a-dee-dee-dees and kik-kik-kiks : Guided Hike (2 hrs)
During this leisurely hike on the Caribou Plain Trail, experience the sights and sounds of the Acadian Forest.
🔴 Head to Toe
Explore whose skull is whose, and how to tell the difference between tricky tracks of some Fundy critters! Hands on discovery at the Headquarters Visitors Centre.
🔥 Campfire: The Night Shift
As the sun sets over the hills, and the moon rises, animals in the forest are switching shifts. Share the stories of flying squirrel, red squirrel, and other nocturnal guests. It will be a hoot! Gather around the Chignecto Recreation Area Campfire Circle, for an evening of stories and song. Dress warmly and bring a mug.
🌊 Explore Alma Beach
Chase the tide. Meet at the Alma Beach parking lot for stories of tides and things that live in the world between high and low tide.
🔴 Boghaunters, Darners and Meadowhawks
Find us along the short loop of the Caribou Plain Trail and discover the wonderful world of Fundy's dragonflies and damselflies.
⭐ Fundy Night Life ($) (2 hrs)
Awaken your senses with an evening journey through the forest. Let us show you the Fundy night life that exists when the lights go out. Register in advance at the Headquarters Visitor Centre.
🌊 Herring Cove Beach Blitz
Walk the ocean floor. At low tide, a whole world of resilient ocean creatures gets revealed. Who knows what the receding water will reveal. Meet at Herring Cove beach parking area.
⭐ Fundy Idol
Tremendous tides, tortuous trails, or towering trees? The race is on to find out who (or what?) will be the new Fundy Idol. You be the judge as some of our most intriguing characters strut their stuff at the Headquarters Amphitheatre.
🦋 Passion for Pollinators
Drop by the Headquarters Pollinator Garden for a quick search to see who's buzzing, creeping, and crawling today. Different locations will be highlighted each week.
🔴 Pond Blitz
Pop by the Headquarters Visitor Centre and explore of the stations set up around the pond to see what plants and animals are thriving around the water. We will be recording observations throughout the afternoon.
🔥 Campfire: Down by the Bay
Explore the connection to the rivers, bay, and ocean of our Fundy region. Have a spin on the Fundy Water Wheel of Wonder and see what gets revealed. Gather around the Chignecto Recreation Area Campfire Circle, for an evening of stories and song. Dress warmly and bring a mug.
🔴 Looking for Loons
Drop by Wolfe Lake and enjoy one of Fundy's Beautiful lakes! Have the loons nested? Do they have young? What other wildlife will you see?
🔴 Captain Kool
The late Molly Kool made waves by becoming the first female ship captain of North America. Learn about this fascinating Alma local at the Molly Kool Centre in the Alma Beach parking lot.
🔴 A Place Between the Tides
Where the Upper Salmon River meets the Bay of Fundy, a vibrant world exists in the salt marsh. From the tiniest fish to the largest birds this small but significant habitat is worth a closer look. Join us at the Headquarters Amphitheatre.
🌊Alma Beach Art
Using shells, rocks, sticks and seaweeds, create art that will last until the next high tide. Meet us in the Alma Beach parking lot to start your creative journey.
🔴 Mathews Head Picnic
Bring your own picnic lunch and hike out to the Matthews Head bluff overlooking the bay. Get there either by the Coastal Trail or the Matthews Head Trail. Enjoy the view and find out about what we can see today.

Did you hear that!? Hoots, howls, and growls by night. Buzzes, bells, and whistles by day. Fine tune your listening skills on the Alma Beach boardwalk.
🔴 Back to the Fundy Future
Time travel through the Fundy regions’ species of past, present, and future. Meet species from extinct, at risk, to new arrivals…and maybe a few oddities in between! Join us at the Headquarters Amphitheatre.
🔴 Mindfulness in Nature
Escape and rediscover inner calm in nature. Begin your journey at the Dickson Falls trailhead to engage your senses and reflect on gratitude.
📖 Bedtime stories
If you go out in the woods tonight. be sure to wear your pajamas and bring a teddy bear. Meet us at the Headquarters Playground for story time.
🛶Bennett Lake Evening Paddle (1.5 hrs)
Come for a quiet paddle and enjoy the serenity of the lake in this "after hours" experience. Reserve boat rental in advance at outdoorelements.ca or arrive 20 minutes early.
