LOOK: The country's newest gateway is now open after being delayed for 11 years.

The new Bicol International Airport in Daraga, Albay is now complete that will provide state-of-the-art contactless features for passengers starting today, October 7 for domestic and commercial flights.

Next month, it will also be opened for international flights.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will lead the opening of the airport with Department of Transportation-Philippines Sec. Arthur Tugade and other government officials.

ALL airport passengers MUST download and register an account in the TRAZE Contact Tracing App beginning 28 November 2020, prior entering the airport.

How to register? Just these simple steps:

• Download the TRAZE App from your mobile store and install it on your phone
• Open the app and click the “Register” button below. Register as “Individual.”
• Just follow the instructions indicated in the app and input the needed information
• Activate your account

Meanwhile, for passengers who do not have mobile phones or any other mobile gadget, they may go to the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport where they will be provided assistance in getting a unique QR code. Or, they may likewise ask a family member to register them with the app.

The QR code can be used at any DOTr Office nationwide.

TRAZE, a nationwide and unified contact tracing app is co-developed by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and Cosmotech Philippines, Inc., which enables the government’s contact tracing efforts to be strengthened and be more efficient.

With TRAZE, the contact tracing process can now be done in just a few minutes, unlike the usual and manual process. Not only that—you can also be assured that your data is safe and secured, as the app fully complies with the Data Privacy Act (DPA) or Republic Act No. 10173. Further, it does not use bluetooth or GPS, and it works well even with slow mobile data and WiFi!

Following the latest directive from the local government of Iloilo, airasia would like to remind that flights on Fridays shall carry no more than 75 passengers bound for Iloilo province, no more than 5 passengers to Guimaras and the rest of the passengers to Iloilo city. Meanwhile, flights on Wednesdays and Sundays shall only accommodate passengers bound for Iloilo city.

Guests booked to travel with airasia to ILO, must complete a form (to be sent via email) at least 72 hours or 3 days prior to travel to avoid being denied boarding. Guests are reminded to include complete details including contact numbers and address.

All guests are advised to check government restrictions and regulations, as well as their registered e-mail upon booking for timely notifications from airasia.

Cebu Provincial Governor Gwen Garcia announced, regardless of age, anyone can visit any tourism sites in Cebu since the Province is already in a Modified General Community Quarantine. 😮🙌🏻🙏

Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia announced last Friday, October 16, that there are no age restrictions and no travel documents needed (except for proof of confirmed booking) for tourists who wish to visit Cebu’s tourist spots.

Guests are required to present their confirmed booking at hotels and resorts upon embarking at the ports. These confirmed bookings will also serve as requirement for the purchase of the two-way boat ticket in going to the island tourism sites.

The Provincial Tourism Task Force considers the two-way ticket as proof that their visit is tourism in nature and thus differentiates them from Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs), Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR), and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) or repatriated Filipinos and or seafarers.

Governor Garcia also announced Bantayan Island’s tourism reopening. So PWEDE na mag Bantayan! 😍🏝️
